Evening all,

Im taking my 11 year old son to his first awayday in London and my first for many years, whats the advice about wearing your colours ?? we are taking the car to Stanmore and then the tube thro London having a bit of a wander round then up to the ground.

I've wore colours to a London away before, never any trouble. I think you'll be fine to be honest mate, if it's an adult and a young lad, you'd very, very unlucky to bump into some trouble.

A lot of the pubs in the touristy areas state "no football shirts" but I don't think you'll be looking for the pubs (could be wrong...).

Get there early, and take him to the Science Museum. Totally wrong side, but it's really interesting, and would keep an 11 yr old boy interested! If you get day tickets for the Tube, it won't cost you any more to get there, and the admission is free. If you go to the TFL website you should get the travelling time from South Kensington to Leyton.

Thanks for all the advice, its really weird im 43 and finding myself realy excited about an awayday trip to the footy!!!lol
