dandannieldanok Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 It's not that ridiculous to look into the idea of a pre-qualifying tournament True, it's far from a ridiculous idea, I just don't see the point. Nothing seems wrong with the current format. Granted there are some very one-sided results but that happens in football.
Alexikokopops Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 True, it's far from a ridiculous idea, I just don't see the point. Nothing seems wrong with the current format. Granted there are some very one-sided results but that happens in football. It'll be like the qualifying in the FA Cup. Granted there isn't the volume of teams but it's a similar principle. After I mentioned that the population of Andorra could all fit in Wembley my housemate said "It's like England's opponents not turning up and them picking a squad out the crowd to play them" which amused me. It also makes us look even worst.
Tevez Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 San marino lost 13-0 to Germany last yearPlease tell me how the fook that will make them better ? Losing 12-0?
Tommeh Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 I don't have a solution but just wish these Internationals would stop getting in the way of our club game, in League 1 it shouldn't affect us, but obviously it did. No LCFC on Saturday No goals on sunday to go with the fry up. No MOTD No sunday game No Last word with Andy No MOTD 2 This has been one of the most boring weekends for a long time and International football has played a mssive part. Sometimes I wish it would just fook off and leave the domestic game we as fans love.

Oh it drives me mad, I actually am one of the few that still try to look forward to England games but it's hard to swap your entire weekend of club football for the national sides game against a bunch of post men and insurance brokers. Didn't play at all either due to A) Rain and B) not having a fixture. was bored to tears this weekend. Alex, yes their garbage and they were never going to score but we created hardly anything and if it weren't for Joe Cole we wouldn't of scored!

I think we should just ignore results against England when trying to judge a team. We're woeful whoever we play
