Lillehamring Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 Just given Souvlaki a listen and I have to say I'm muchly impressed. Anyone? My favourite was probably 'When the Sun Hits' i have to admit i haven't heard this for yonks, does it still sound good, i fear it won't have aged too well. i saw them live in the early 90s at DMU arena (i think) - the girl was nice, in a frumpy indie kinda way
Flynny Posted 24 September 2008 Author Posted 24 September 2008 I'd managed not to have heard of them (I don't think) until a few weeks ago. What is their other stuff like?

Just a Day is similar has some great songs but not as good overall, is worth checking out though. Pygmalion is very different, I've struggled to get into it. Souvlaki is just perfect from start to finish.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 I always think Slowdive were the most trancey of the shoe-gazing scene. My own favourite track is Catch the Breeze.
