I've been playing this for a fair old while now, and I still haven't come across any glitches. I've had one game freeze, but that's it. Compared to Oblivion, I'd say it's pretty much perfect in terms of there being no glitches.

I'm level 12 now and have maxed out big and small guns to 100. I also have the power armour and am now concentrating on maxing out medicine and explosives.

If I headshot mutants and raiders in one they seem to obliterate now into tiny pieces - took out quite a good perk there. Also get the perk whereby you get more ammo when you search ammo crates and boxes and suchlike.

I'm currently trying to get to vault 87 to get the GECK but have been sidetracked to Paradise Falls because I can't get to it yet and then I'm yet further sidetracked at Paradise Falls cause I can't get in there either. Game is massive. Done a fair few side missions too now - completed the survival guide, did the ant lions etc etc. The android mission is interesting - still on that one.

It's a pretty much perfect game - Ubisoft take note - this is how you make a game 'interesting' and not 'repetitive'.

found the family now fairly easy really.

damn fire ants are pissing me off and cannot be arsed with doing there mission

Perks....i choose guardian angel and a man pops up when your in trouble and kills your enemy very funny & comes in handy

having trouble with bobbleheads only found 1 so far

im glad i went exploring and opened up places over the map beforei got into the main story so much easier to travel rather than locating things

glitchs ive had a couple where i just get stuck in places and cannot move also game crashes somtimes when on loadin either VATS or goin on to new area of map strange really for a brand new xbox

still addicted and got the missus & flatmate out all day 2moz for me to have a nice 10 hour stint on it

Also with super mutants and other big monsters take out the legs there health gos down much quicker

managed to find the declaration of independance! make sure oyu have plenty of pulse mines on this one! some big ass robots!

i tricked that robot into thinking i was jefferson loooooooooooool easy! missed out on another mission cus of it because he wants you to help him make a fake one but oh well. im trying to get to pinkerton but cant get there as my lockpicking is crap.

this game is so good that when youve finished it you can start again and do everything you did again but the opposite.

I went into Paradise Falls and took all the slavers out. Decapitated the lot. Including the boss in his makeshift house. That was fun. I didn't agree with having to enslave hardworking decent people. During this I got sidetracked again and rescued Red from the police station, completing the Big Town mission.

I'm now just in vault 87 having passed through the kids who wouldn't let me in.

It's great stuff.

I started this but then decided against it about a quarter of the way through. Didn't have too many mines and guns don't do a lot against robots. Will come back to it later.

As for Pinkerton, I couldn't be arsed with it so I went back to Zimmer and gave him the fake android part. He took it for real and I completed that mission. Would have been interesting to see how it would have turned out had I decided to track down Pinkerton some more. But, oh well.

Word of warning regarding the main quest...

Once you have finished the main quest, you have finished the game. This means you CANNOT go on and complete any other side quests you may have left unattended to. When the main quest is over, the game is over. Simple as that.

Yes have since found this out and wasnt very happy, when following the massive robot liberty i just fast traveled to megaton and am now doing the rest of my side missions

i was watching a videoon this when i was thinking of buying it. If anyone wanted to know, there is a crashed spaceship with some dead alien outside it somewhere on the map that has a laser gun, it said it was secret on the video ull probs be able to find it on google

I haven't done this side mission yet but, yes, it does exist. It's on the far north of the map, and I haven't explored that area much as yet. The weapon there is supposed to be the most powerful in the game but the ammo is short in supply.

IGN have a walkthrough guide, although since the game is so huge, this is very much a work in progress.

Having got to the final mission and leaving that for the time being, I'm now searching every inch of the map for additional landmarks, side quests etc etc to complete. This could take all year...

Anyone know of a link to a map of the game showing all possible locations to explore?

How good is this game? Thinking of getting, but I don't know whether to wait for Resistance 2 as I loved the first one.

As said in prev post its the best game ive played i like to think of it as GTA mixed with Resident Evil with a dash of radiation 10/10 all the way!

There is a Map with all locations on it cannot remember which site(not helpfull) but there is one out there, since knowing whats happened at the end ive lost my enthusiasm for the game at the minute......Tiger Woods Is Back!!!

I'm now level 18 and feel I've just about had enough of it all now and I'll probably finish off the main quest this week.

I can't see myself going through it all again, so a trade in for Resistance 2 seems reasonable this Friday.

It's a great game though, but is easier than Oblivion to play once you've levelled up quite a bit.

Got this last night, really really original start, don't think I've ever seen anything like it in a game before.

Can't wait to get into it. I feel bad though as I STILL haven't completed Dead Space.

same with me! just going round the unsearched bits on the map, just found lamplight with that bastard kid, i reckon i might finish the main story, not before killing everybody, literally everybody, arefu, megaton etc mwaaaahahahahahah

Oblivion seemed better at getting tougher while you got tougher, but in this game, the tougher you get, the easier it becomes.

Of the two, I like the story and idea behind this game, it was great, but as a gaming experience, Oblivion was better.

i know what you mean, even though this was a free roameing game, there was still certain paths you cant take if you know what i mean, with the collapsed walls, so therefore a lot of the places can only be reached one way, specially around the dc area.

but a great game, stillnot completed it, just took over as marsielle on fifa 09 and started a new game on fm09 with aldershot so im busy

whats resistance like, sounds good but never played it, is it similar???

Well I got this from gamestation while it was half price and started playing it today.

Absalutely fantastic game, although I didn't really get into it until I left the vault.

Well I got this from gamestation while it was half price and started playing it today.

Loving it! Definitely game of the year in my opinion now.

You should max out on small guns, repair and either take lockpick to 25 (to unlock the simplest things) or medicine up to at least 75. After you can concentrate on big guns - you'll need that at the end of the game.

I've heard some people have gone through the game without firing a single shot, depends on what you want to do.

Make sure you take the perks that upgrade guns and give you extra ammo when opening crates and the like.

Once you get to level 15+ you will find the game very easy. I got to level 18 before completing most missions and then thinking I can't be arsed to uncover every location since there was no mission based around them as such. So I finished it off.

There was a point in Oblivion to track down everything and anything, in Fallout, not quite so much.

Still a great game though, but not a classic. That's Dead Space and MGS4.

got this game yesterday. cannot see what all the hype was. was going ok till I had to go to the radio station on the second mission. everytime u move an inch, sum cock tries shootin u which inevitibly works once there is like 5 people chasin you down I cnt even explain how annoying it is when ure tryin to find out where to go and they just won't stop shootin ha. doubt this will last long with me
