davieG Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 what happened to the yeovil game and when is it postponed to?? you could always try the search function before posting. It doesn't always produce but for something like a postponed game it would be a major shock if no one had posted about it. http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.ph...hlite=%2BYeovil

GloverFox Posted 12 October 2008 Posted 12 October 2008 mmmmmm ... But we've missed a sitting duck here by claiming the International dutes card, because yes I know it was the professional 'take-no-chances' option but Yeovil are a team that are struggling to score goals at present. They play some good 'on the deck' football, showing good movement and the enthuisiasm of a good young team but they are missing an 'out-andout' goal scorer. Gavin Tomlin is a very good goal poacher, but he's light-weight on the ball and whilst Paul Warne is a 110% effort player he's no Matty Fryatt. The on-loan keeper Begovic clearly doesn't like crossed balls (Ouch, who does!) and the quality of Gary Roberts in midfield is currently on a one match ban. Yeovil have the appearance of a Club imploding at present, the home fans are getting anxious as they have not yet registered a home win and their manager (Russell Slade) is operating on a cotton thread, a shoe-string would be far too much! Their home gates are falling faster than a whore draws on a friday night and with a paper-thin squad and the hard cold months coming in they are going to be getting desperate pretty soon for results. Their looking to bring in a striker for a months loan, which could be a 'turn-about' player for them and so would make our game a lot harder ... but then again, a single month loan? Not going to be an awful lot of committement in there I guess! So now, when we play 'em just watch ... they'll play a blinder ... DOAHHH
