I hope Hayles does come back, i actually thought he played ok towards towards the end of last season (i know many of you probabaly didn't and we got relegated) but i thought he should've got a chance in our team this season. If he comes back and gets a chance i think he will do well. He must be gaining confidence after his goals for Cheltenham!

Hayles is back.

Yeah, he's actually back now. Cheltenham couldn't work out an agreement with us to keep him.

Thats good then, especially at the min as the only strikers we have fit are Fryatt and Howard (not sure if DJ is fit yet)

I'd be surprised if he featured much, if at all this season to be honest. Cameo's here and there perhaps.

Yeah thats true, i suppose it depends if Fryatt or Howard get injured, and whether DJ Chambers and Dickov are fit again soon.

Hayes Makes Cheltenham Switch

OS

Posted on: Mon 20 Oct 2008

Leicester City winger Jonny Hayes has today (Monday) joined Cheltenham Town for a one-month loan period.

Hayes, who joined the Foxes from Reading in June 2007, has failed to break through to the first team squad under manager Nigel Pearson.

The 21-year old joined the Robins on trial last week and featured for their reserve side.

Fellow Foxes Lathaniel Rowe-Turner and James Wesolowski are also currently on loan with Martin Allen's side.

Cheltenham take on Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park on Tuesday evening.

From another source:

Hayes' loan means that Cheltenham cannot sign any more players on loan from Leicester City this season.

Football League rules state that a team can only take four players on emergency loan from any one club in a season.

Cheltenham have already signed Barry Hayles, James Wesolowski and Lathanial Rowe-Turner on loan from the foxes so far this term.

Hayes is available for tomorrow night's game at Tranmere, if selected he will become the 32nd player to play for Cheltenham this season, seven more than any other League One team.

Only five loan players can be named in the matchday 16, meaning that Robins boss Martin Allen will have to decide who out of the eight loanees to leave out of the squad.

The eight loan players are: Scott Murray, Drissa Diallo, Lewis Montrose, Josh Payne, Stuart Fleetwood, James Wesolowski, Lathanial Rowe-Turner and Jonny Hayes.

Bloody hell, it's probably just me, but I think Martin Allen coming back cap-in-hand of our reserves is rather humorous and equally pathetic at the same time. :giggle:>_<:nono:
