Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Oh well. He was about as much use as a bacon sandwich at a Jewish wedding.
lildave3 Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Someone actually said this would happen in the Martin Allen at Cheltenham thread!
Asha Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Never got a run of games. But then again there's obviously a reason. Poor signing.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 They've got Westlake as well? I thought he was half decent?
Lovejoy Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Not a big loss imo, he is/was at least 3rd in the left wingers pecking order.
Bryn Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Hayles back as well, scored three times in seven appearances and is probably reasonably fit, good to have around as backup for a while while we wait for Dickov and Campbell (? not sure if Campbell is injured or not I'm a bit outta the loop)
Bert Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Showing who the Allen signings were! At the time, Hayes did come out and say that Martin Allen was fond of him, or something along those lines.
lookwhaticando Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 At the time, Hayes did come out and say that Martin Allen was fondling him

The Stig Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 He will go on loan there once Barry Hayles returns.
Tilley Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Barry Hayles back? Surely in the squad for Saturday if Campbell isn't fit
The Stig Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Barry Hayles back?Surely in the squad for Saturday if Campbell isn't fit All I know is his loan won't be extended.
Corky Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Barry Hayles back?Surely in the squad for Saturday if Campbell isn't fit DJ has had the longest stomach bug in the world
Tilley Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 DJ has had the longest stomach bug in the world Need him back. He will score the winner on Saturday, if he's brought on.
Munzie Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 DJ has had the longest stomach bug in the world Apparently, it's moved to his hip. These bugs get everywhere...I had one in my computer the other day!
The People's Hero Posted 15 October 2008 Posted 15 October 2008 DJ's stomach must be made of the same stuff as Elvis' ankle.
clazkel Posted 15 October 2008 Posted 15 October 2008 I hope Hayles does come back, i actually thought he played ok towards towards the end of last season (i know many of you probabaly didn't and we got relegated) but i thought he should've got a chance in our team this season. If he comes back and gets a chance i think he will do well. He must be gaining confidence after his goals for Cheltenham!
