Fox in a Box Posted 15 April 2005 Posted 15 April 2005 I rekon its worth a cheeky swipe at near relegated florists. £200,000 and well time to say goodbye to Nalis, get his wages off books like. (sheffield accent)
dynamite foxes Posted 15 April 2005 Posted 15 April 2005 Yeah I would really like him. If he keeps his weight down he is a prospect.
Katy Posted 15 April 2005 Posted 15 April 2005 Im not sure about him at present, hes one diamond amongst 10 piles of steaming dog turd - a bit like Mark Draper was for us in our first Premier League season, he was soon found out when he moved to Villa. Would like to see what he can do in a decent team, could that be us? I dont know.
Hazza Posted 15 April 2005 Posted 15 April 2005 I'd definetly snap him up but i really think he's out of our price range, they could probably afford to keep him so wouldn't be tempted by anything below £1m i reckon.

People will be sniffing round as players will go at reduced prices.
Sparky Posted 15 April 2005 Posted 15 April 2005 be funny if we nicked 1 of there best players for the 3rd consecutive year
Anish Posted 15 April 2005 Posted 15 April 2005 be funny if we nicked 1 of there best players for the 3rd consecutive year 93250 Yes but Scimeca and now Williams haven't set the world alight here...

Scow Posted 15 April 2005 Posted 15 April 2005 He's certainly a player with a lot of talent and has scored some wonderful goals this season. He would be someone who would actually run at players and get past them on a regular basis. At present, the only player who offers that is Gillespie, but he tends to cut inside too much, which hinders his role as a winger. I don't think Commons enjoys playing on the wing, but he has the attributes to play there.
Durnerz Posted 15 April 2005 Posted 15 April 2005 He hardly shone at Stoke and in my opinion just looks a shining light in a very poor side. I wouldn't take the gamble personally. We could get someone much better in for less money.
Scow Posted 15 April 2005 Posted 15 April 2005 McAnuff. 93458 It's feasible. McAnuff on the right, Commons on the left.
Steven Posted 15 April 2005 Posted 15 April 2005 What happened to that forum favourite (here and on another forum) Richie Partridge. He is out of contract at the end of this season.

dog_4 Posted 15 April 2005 Posted 15 April 2005 commons did play very well away at spurs in the cup apparently so i think we shud take the gamble. macunuff is anouther great suggestion i wud like to see a midfield of commons, hughes, williams and macunuff.
TrickyTrev Posted 16 April 2005 Posted 16 April 2005 I don't think he would be that expensive. Forest are going to have to take anything they can get next season. It could be co0nvenient as we are lookiong for young players and we have a hole down the left hand side and a void in terms of creativity/flair. He presumably lives in the area, which may makes us more atttractive to him if he has family.

dog_4 Posted 17 April 2005 Posted 17 April 2005 who in the prem wud want him??? spurs, villa, bolton. no one has sed owt about commons. no clubs being linked with him or him saying he wants to leave. i really do hope levein goes for him. tink we cud go to about 1m for the lad. did spend 500k on williams and then connally so i think we might spend that much again.
