What a game today , how Tigers won that ill never know . Bath were awesome to watch but so naive at the death

Was a fantastic game. Hard to pick between watching that and Villa! I made the right choice, I think, but had to hop between the two haha.

I was willing Hougaard on from the edge of my seat as he broke at the death, fantastic fun.

Would like to see Meyer stay, though. He's a bit of a refreshing change of character at Welford Road.

Haha. What was the payout?

£32.50

Had a fiver on Croft 1st try at 25/1 which was decent odds , just a shame he got the 3rd and 4th !!

Tigers were really poor first half. Worst I have seen for a while.

During the first half did anyone else see the fact come up where it said Tigers have conceded 41 penalties for handling in the ruck this season. That's mental.

Hipkiss had a good game today and links with Mauger really well now. Don't know why Flood was rested to be honest and we missed him today.

Think it's down to the international agreement. All of the elite England players have to rested for 1 or 2 games over the winter break. (Or something like that).

I still think this is one of the problems which continues to make Rugby an amateur game. So much that football could learn from, yet they carry on with Premiership games whilst internationals are on, whilst also making teams rest players during international breaks.

Flood's mistakes helped cost Tigers a win at Harlequins last week.

The rest may do him some good, especially with a tricky European game at Ospreys looming.

Seru Rabeni changed the game ;)

Thought they showed great character today to keep on going. I thought we were out of it when Bath got the amazing try, but Tigers have done things like this so many times in the past, I don't know why i'm surprised.

Tigers sticky thread?

There's been any number of rugby threads floating around and they never really get enough interest.

Fair enough, shame really, it's a great sport and we have a club to be proud of in this city

Agreed. It's probably partly my gloating in every thread that turns people off.

But there's a strange amount of disdain from City fans towards the Tigers and a lot of people who actively dislike the egg chasing on here.

I love going to watch the Rugby, its a different type of buzz. I think you are far more relaxed aswell because there is no trouble at Rugby games and fans can be trusted to sit with each other.

I went to the Millennium last year to watch Tigers v Wasps and Bath v Scarletts and if you bought a ticket you got to stay there for the whole day and watch both matches, so all four set's of fans were together. That could never happen at the football. Going Twickenham with Tigers fans is brilliant aswell when we went in May we left at 9 from the Woody's in Rothley and we were drinking all travelling down there and back. It's just alot more relaxing than football.

But it Rugby just doesnt give me the same buzz as Football.

That just about mirrors my view . If England rugby or Tigers lose then im pissed off , If City or England football lose then im devestated .

Saying that i watched both rugby matches today rather than the 2 FA Cup ties

Yup same. Yea im am upset when Tiger's lose and really upset when they lose in semi's and Finals but if City lose then I am mortified for abit. Just when im at Welford Road it wont give me the same buzz of feeling as when im in the Walkers.

Hmm. I'm a mixed bag. International rugby comes first and foremost, a bad six nations = a bad year for Finners. But I probably put City before Wales football and Scarlets rugby if I'm honest; maybe not as an active decision but simply what bothers me more.

I get far more joy out of international rugby, too. A good rugby game is the most exciting sporting event, in my opinion. Though admitedly, a bad football game is usually more watchable than a bad rugby game.

Sorry to be naive about the rugby I follow Tigers quite a bit but can someone explain why Meyer's job is insecure?

Tigers not being at the top of the table or something?
