Libertine Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Metallica would have been the way forward for me.
MC Prussian Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Now that was a piece of classic comedy. Steelers get three more tries after a penalty against Arizona in their end zone - and Pittsburgh fails massively to score a TD. D'oh.
MC Prussian Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Not for long. I predict a T-T-T-Touchdown. Go Steelers!
Fox You Forest Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Not for long.I predict a T-T-T-Touchdown. Go Steelers!
MC Prussian Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Plain. Stupidity. You'd think the Cards were dumb enough giving away so many yards by penalties. Enter Steelers.
Edmund Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Don't have a fooking clue whats going on but quite entertaining. This has raised american football a little bit in my ratings. Never really liked the sport. What annoys me the most is all these silly breaks. Obviously made for adverts. Anyway rant over; has been entertaining and frustrating to watch.
MC Prussian Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Phwoarr. Quality. Tense finale. Just what I needed.
MC Prussian Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 TOUCHDOWN!! What a throw - what a catch!!! 27-23 Pittsburgh
MC Prussian Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Great catch. Night. You're missing out on all that fun. At 4am (local time).
Fosse Boy Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Awesome game. Congratulations. You're now the winningest franchise in NFL history. Truly cringeworthy reporting from the guy doing the post match interviews!
Jordan Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Exciting game (4th quarter, anyway) ... but it was unfair to the Cardinals that the officials in the replay booth did not review Warner's fumble on their last play. The replays seemed to show that Warner's arm had started to move forward with the ball in control of his hand just before the ball came loose, and if that is the case, then the proper result of the play would be an incomplete pass with the Cardinals having the ball 1st-and-10 at the Pittsburgh 29 (due to the 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after the play) with the clock reset to the moment when the ball struck the ground. The Cardinals would have had at least five seconds left on the clock (they may have even been able to run two plays) and a realistic chance to win the game. I don't understand why the officials would spend so much time reviewing Holmes's winning touchdown catch but spend no time reviewing another questionable play that could have had an equal impact on the game's result. The media will talk all about the victorious Steelers and spend a lot of time praising great performances by Holmes and Roethlisberger, plus Harrison's superb 100-yard interception return TD, but in my mind this strange decision by the officials overshadows all of this because I don't think the NFL gave the Cardinals a fair chance to win. For the record, I'm not sure the refs got the call right on Fitzgerald's first TD catch (he might not have had full control of the ball and may have used the ground to trap it) but at that point of the game, the onus of forcing a review was on Pittsburgh and they decided not to challenge the ruling. Arizona hurt themselves with some stupid penalties, but there were a few other times where they got shafted by the refs (especially on Pittsburgh's third-quarter field goal drive, when Roethlisberger should have been flagged for intentional grounding yet Arizona got slapped with a questionable roughing the passer personal foul).
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Ben Graham is the obvious MOM in a losing side
MC Prussian Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Ben Graham is the obvious MOM in a losing side Err.. No. Roethlisberger all the way. Swiss ancestors and the like.
Joe. Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Well, I watched the first half of this last night until I got frustrated enough to turn it off. There's ****ing adverts every 10 seconds! Aside from this I quite enjoyed it, despite not really knowing what the hell was going on.
lavrentis Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 I probably lasted 30mins before I had to turn it off. I just got so bored as it was just so repetitive. At least I can dislike American Football with a reason now.
