We need to increase volume

I was one of the fans at the Stadium of Light on saturday and i have to be honest the sunderland fans embarrassed us. Obviuosly they had lots to play for but there was no passion or noise from ourselves at all. We need to re-invent ourselves as fans and get behind the players with some noise and support. When we aree at home the Walkers is like a morgue. Lets take a leaf out of the mackems book and sing our hearts out for the boys and become a 12 man next year and give the city every chance of coming up

I totally agree with you mate. We as fans were atrocious on saturday whereas the sunderland fans were superb. They were so passionate about their side but at the Walkers we as supporters are non existent. If a spacemen wants to go into space he can come to the walkers because there is no atmosphere at the present time. We also need some player songs.

Yep we should get the message out that the game against the SheepShaggers is where we give the lads our all and get through all the songs so the players know we are right behind them and hopefully we get the right the result. So starting now is the fieryfox campaign to stand up and sing or sit in your front room and watch it on the box. When kick off comes, we can go through a repetoir of songs for the lads. Stuff the sheepshaggers!!!

The Foxes Trust should contact the Leics Mercury and get a back page article about it, the team need our support right now more than at any other time of the season so far. I'm sure the Merc would go for it, they did when MA was around...

Not heard anything about it mr foxesfan69, the thing is they all sung the same song throughout the stadium, we seem to have about 20 different songs going at a time.

The problem with the walkers is that half of the lads are in the Kop, the other half are in L block. I thought that after a couple of seasons passing the lads in the Kop would come and join us in L and make some atmosphere - but it just ain't happening. Besides, we have coppers for stewards now and its all becoming a bit of a joke - people thrown out every week for very little. Stand, sit, stand, sit, stand ( you get the picture ) Only against the Trees did all stand up and make some noise. Hope for better against the Sheep tomorrow. Can't see it though.

Hear Sheep have sold their 3,200..........Outsang again :-(

Agreed. The Kop is where it should be at. You don't need to be by the awat fans for atmosphere; just look at clubs like Liverpool, Leeds etc.

Yes, our fans are piss-poor. But somethings do need to be said about Sunderland 'fantastic' support.

1. Under 35,000 for a promotion party? (the SOL holds over 47,000)

2. They were going for the title.

3. They were not that noisy until they equalised.

4. They won.

However when our fans are a bit subdued AWAY from home that is the time to start worrying. Mind you it felt like we were gatecrashing some else's party..

chandler u r totally rong, no matter whos party it is we shud be shouting are team on. we did cheer wen we scored but it was nuthin special jus the normal come on lesta. sunderland had everyright to cheer but tht shudnt of stopped us we need every1 to stand up and be counted 4

somehow i think the fact you spelt 'rong' wrong (!!) is going to get our chandler a little bit overexcited!

so shall we go along with fieryfox's campaign to sing for the lads all match and to prove to visiting supporters that the walkers stadium does have an atmosphere. By showing the players we are behind them I say that we before the match we all stand up and sing a variety of songs for the team(preferably new, imaginative ones). Also tomorrow can the vocal supporters sing some songs about the players as at sunderland they had a variety of songs for the players and im positive that it had an effect on them. If everyone conforms to this plea then im sure it will give the players a major boost at a critical time of the season. So please pass this message on to fellow supporters and Im sure we will se a change in fortunes tomorrow. So before the match and during the match lets make it a real night atmosphere and get behind the players rather than than boo them and lets stuff the sheepshaggers. Lets make it a night to remember!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know what sort of attendance is expected tomorrow?

I agree with we should have a better atrmosphere, but we say this before every home game and it hardly ever gets better apart from 10 mins against wolves and parts of the forest game.

As a set of fans we need to make the Walkers a more intimidating place to play. Get on the back of their players, get behind our players, cheer, whistle, clap, just make noise.

Also, we should get some colour into the stadium, for example a banner which can be passed around the ground, waving scarfs around, just something that would make the away team feel more intimidated.

Finally, are flags banned from Leicester football games? They were allowed for the tigers game, did anyone see the big toulouse flag? The kop at anfield has a big flag too, why cant we have them? :nono:

this has been touched on loads of times its all well and good saying lets get behind the boys but if daaarby score first tommorow night then we will be quiet.

play well = good atmosphere

play shit = shit atmosphere .....simple

It's like Fez of the Muzz said in another thread, if we were in their position i'd expect our fans to be as good as Sunderlands.

Really? The atmosphere was dreadful during the promotion season, i did put that down to the horrible stuff we was watching, it was painful at times. This league has improved a lot since then, I often hear people saying the Championship is a shocking league, i believe it's far from that, massive clubs like Wolves, Leeds, ourselves, even Forest, struggling to climb up the table and string a run of wins together.

i think the quality of performance is important too i remember when we thrashed leeds 4-0 and played some great stuff and the atmosphere in the walkers was really electric and it wasn't even a full house because it was on sky. however when we beat blackburn we played awfully and they really should have won and the atmosphere was v poor as a result of the poor performance even though we won (if that makes sense!)

Actually, I agree with Chandler for a change.

One other thing worthy of noting was the exodus with 10 minutes to go. As the Sunderland fans started singing "Time to go" at us, surely they must have noticed the hoardes of red and white bedecked supporters rushing out of the SOL. If City were that close to automatic promotion, you can guarantee that leaving early to avoid the traffic would be the last thing on my mind.

Chandler, listen here pal I'm couldn't care less about bloody Sunderland, they are one set of fans to join a long line of clubs that make us look like prats. Cardiff last week were brilliant and they could go down, Derby tonight are likely to make so much more noise than we ever do. Too many fans are expecting to see the team just come out and perform great every week but they can't without our support. We need to get behind our team and try and give them a helping voice instead of seeing us and thinking "god they're quiet". Stop making excuses Chandler and face the facts that our support is shite. It aint about Sunderlanmd Cardiff or anyone else
