Alexikokopops Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 While we're here I'm going to hijack this thread briefly. I type normally on my keyboard and every so often it acts as though the Control key is pushed down when I'm not touching it. Like, it might pop up a new tab in Firefox if I'm typing a word with a t in, or bring up the "open" dialogue box on Word if I type something with an o in it, that kind of thing. I assume I've probably just got jizz under the key or something after a particularly heavy session on teensontherag.com, but I'm just checking it's nothing else before I delve into the crumb ridden world that resides under my laptop keys.

I get that too sometimes. Does it fix it if you try the Control key a few times? Just switched off my lamp and got this "beep beep <silence> beep" whatever that means. (not even sure WHAT was beeping, hard to tell with all these pieces of computing equipment and the dozens of cables. I am sure about a third of them are not even in use anymore, but hard to untangle them all )
