Bluefoxtim Posted 22 March 2009 Author Posted 22 March 2009 The search seems to have forked up, so can't find the other running thread, so this will have to do! Just ran my first half marathon... 13 miles in 1 hour 46 minutes. Pretty pleased with that! Suprisingly easy to be honest, especially once you get in the rhythm. Should definately be aiming for a sub 1 hour 30 come September.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Well done, that's a whole 11 minutes quicker than I was. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't THAT hard when I did it as well

I have the Reading half next weekend and there's no way I will be sub 2 hrs because of a niggling knee injury, but I have raised £800 for charity so the cause will see me through!

No many people describe a half as 'easy' but well done! Did my second ever half last Sunday and it was HARD. Race quite regularly over 5/10k so really struggled after about an hour of 6min/mile pace. Managed to hang on for 1:23 (PB), but I think I'll stick to the shorter distances! Good luck to anyone doing Reading next week!
