leftsideoverhere Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 In the crowd at the Swindon game, Greg says, "Dad, why are they singing 'Leicester til I die'. Me: Cos they're saying they won't support any other team for as long as they live. Him: But what about after they die? A couple of days ago, he came to find me and announced he's made up a new song for the Blue Army to sing. 'Cos he's completely surreal, it goes... "When I'm dead and in the dirt I'm not gonna wear a ballet skirt I'm gonna to wear my Leicester kit And I'm gonna have some fun in it!" I suggested that getting the back rows of SK2 singing about ballet skirts might be more than we could hope for. So he's changed it to: "When I'm dead and in the dirt I'm not going to wear a Forest shirt I'm going to wear my Leicester kit And I'm gonna have some fun in it!" Goes quite nicely alternated with "I'm Leicester 'til I die" as it happens. Greg's been singing it round the house! I think it's a good 'un. What do you reckon?
Shrenchel Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 Its alright. Last line could do with a rewrite, its pretty shit.

leftsideoverhere Posted 2 March 2009 Author Posted 2 March 2009 Nah, he's 10. I know it's not quite 'Heroes in Blue and White' but I reckon it's not bad for his first City song.
