StanSP Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Really looking forward to getting this in May. Just downloaded their first song off it, Antwerpen, and thoroughly impressed by it. 2nd albums are always difficult. Does the band try something new? Or slightly alter what the last album was like in order to please those fans?? Let me know if you want to hear the new song, Antwerpen, and I'll send it .
Part Of The Crowd Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 I'm looking forward to this along with the new albums from Killswitch Engage and Mastodon I'm afraid if i have limited money KsE will have to take priority though. The new song is pretty awesome though/

Part Of The Crowd Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 True say.Never really got into KsE. Recommend a song that might? Well, a load of their stuff is very different due to the change in singers From the old singer my favourites are In The Unblind and The Element of One The new one it is either The End Of Heartache or My Curse for me I think you might be slightly inclined towards the new singer, who i must say is fooking fantastic
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 KsE: -My Last Serenade (old singer) -End of Heartache (new singer (Howard Jones)) -Rose Of Sharyn (Jones) -My Curse (Jones)
StanSP Posted 14 March 2009 Author Posted 14 March 2009 KsE:-My Last Serenade (old singer) -End of Heartache (new singer (Howard Jones)) -Rose Of Sharyn (Jones) -My Curse (Jones) Liked all of them. Especially My Last Serenade. Do they have any slower songs - like Enter Shikari have Adieu etc..
Part Of The Crowd Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 The Arms Of Sorrow (Howard Jones) is a softer song, can't think of any really slow type songs. And Craig, like your style, The Wolf Is Loose
Jack Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Looking forward to this. Any Idea's if they'll be touring or owt nearby ?

StanSP Posted 15 March 2009 Author Posted 15 March 2009 Got shows in Brixton and Manchester, 17th and 19th April respectively. Where abouts do you live?
Part Of The Crowd Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Foxforever, you might want to add Oli Sykes to your death list, they've just self confirmed Wacken. They won't go down very well at all...
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Liked all of them.Especially My Last Serenade. Do they have any slower songs - like Enter Shikari have Adieu etc.. End of Heartache's probably the nearest you'll find to that tbh.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 End of Heartache's probably the nearest you'll find to that tbh. Especially the Video version. Great song and band.

Part Of The Crowd Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Cheers guys. What are BMTH up against at Wacken then? 70,000 Black and Extreme Metal fans who are really adverse to bands like BMTH, this is one time I think Oli Sykes has got himself out of his depth. Bullet are also playing it and may be the only friends of BMTH, however i heard there was some tension between them. Stupid festival for them to sign up for. 2009 (confirmed so far) July 30 - August 1, 2009: Amon Amarth, Airbourne, Axel Rudi Pell, Borknagar, Bring Me The Horizon, Bullet for my Valentine, Cathedral, Callejon, DragonForce, Einherjer, Epica, GWAR, Hammerfall, Heaven and Hell, In Extremo, In Flames, Kampfar, Kingdom Of Sorrow, Korpiklaani, Lacuna Coil, Machine Head, Motörhead, Napalm Death, Nevermore, Sarke, Testament, Tracedawn, Tristania, Turisas, UFO, Volbeat, Walls of Jericho, Whiplash In Previous years the line ups have been like this August 2 - August 4, 2007: 1349, All That Remains, Amorphis, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Animal Alpha, Belphegor, Benedictum, The Black Dahlia Murder, Black Majesty, Blind Guardian, Blitzkrieg, Cannibal Corpse, Chthonic, Communic, Destruction, Dimension Zero, Dimmu Borgir, Dir en grey, Disillusion, Drone, Electric Eel Shock, Enslaved, Fair to Midland, Falconer, Fastway, Gutbucket, Grave Digger, Haggard, Hatesphere, Heaven Shall Burn, Immortal, In Flames, Iced Earth, J.B.O., Kampfar, Lacuna Coil, Letzte Instanz, Mambo Kurt, Maroon, Mennen, Moonsorrow, Moonspell, Municipal Waste, Napalm Death, Narziss, Neaera, Norther, Overkill, Pharao, Possessed, Rage & Lingua Mortis Orchestra, Rose Tattoo, Sabbat, Sacred Reich, Sahg, Samael, Saxon, Schandmaul, Secrets of the Moon, Sodom, Sonic Syndicate, The Answer, The Sorrow, Stormwarrior featuring Kai Hansen, Stratovarius, Subway to Sally, Suidakra, Swallow the Sun, Therion, Torture Squad, Turbonegro, Turisas, Type O Negative, Týr, Unheilig, The Vision Bleak, Vital Remains, Volbeat.
StanSP Posted 16 March 2009 Author Posted 16 March 2009 Yep, Oli Sykes is going to get murdered. This reminds me of when Panic At The Disco lead singer, Brendon Urie, got hit with a bottle and got knocked out - but obviously Oli's end will be on a much higher scale! Mind you, Brendon got up and carried on performing!
Part Of The Crowd Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 I think i'm just going to avoid the performance altogether, the market thing there is absolutely awesome and i don't want to be anywhere near the violence should there be any. The crowds are generally well behaved though so if anything they'll be performing to about 2 people in a 70,000 outdoor arena.

Like a comedian getting no laughs at a gig
Part Of The Crowd Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Yeah. Anyhow i'm still looking forward to ES's new album, should be pretty good, new track sounds mint. Even my friend who doesn't really like them enjoyed the demo song. Lots of albums i am anticipating coming out this year. Not to mention Opeth should be back in the studio at the back end of 2009 aswell!
StanSP Posted 6 May 2009 Author Posted 6 May 2009 Promo video for the new track, Juggernauts, out 1st June. Also, new album out on 15th June . If one of the mods could change the title bit from May 2009 to June 2009
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 Saw the Juggernauts video last night. Very, very unimpressed and underwhelmed. Shit.
StanSP Posted 6 May 2009 Author Posted 6 May 2009 Saw the Juggernauts video last night.Very, very unimpressed and underwhelmed. Shit. It's not their best vid. But it is only a promo vid. I guess that means that they'll do another proper video for it ?
