Kilworthfox Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 As it stands for Leicester to be: Champions 97 Promotion 96 Playoffs 83 This is "if" all other sides were to pick up maximum points from all their remaining games. Based on their average points per games for 38 games: Champions 88 Promotion 86 Playoffs 76

Kilworthfox Posted 18 March 2009 Author Posted 18 March 2009 the best thing about those figures is that, even if we don't win, the targets could/will still fall... Without looking at the fixtures, the lowest we could finish would be 8th, if all 7 clubs from 2nd to 8th picked up enough points to gain more than 81. Not very likly though is it? NO!

NO! Thats probably almost impossible. Some of those teams are bound to be playing eachother in the run in so some are guaranteed to drop points.
Fox92 Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 Also, we could beat the record of points that is currently held by a little nice club named Fulham. The record currently is; Fulham with 101 points in the 1998-1999 season. Wigan Athletic with 100 points in the 2002-2003 season. Luton Town with 98 points in the 2004-2005 season. AFC Bournmouth with 97 points in the 1986-1987 season. Preston North End with 95 points in the 1999-2000 season. Oxford United with 95 points in the 1983-1984 season. Nice to beat the record at our first attempt as well as going up as champions. Come on Leicester.

Do you read the whole sentance and understand it before you reply? The first few words written were, "Without looking at the fixtures". I just did some simple mathematics and worked out Oldham & above all got maximum points and we got none until the end of the season mathematically it is possible to finish 8th. I know it is very unlikely, that is the point

Come on Leicester. We are on for 98 at our current rate. That would be joint 3rd. However I can see us resting players and playing youth players when we are champions.

Come on Leicester. We will have to win 7 out of the 8 to get 102 points. I would be shocked if we did that. Even with our amazing season, i believe our longest winning run in the league is only 5, i could be wrong though.

evs_the_fox Posted 18 March 2009 Posted 18 March 2009 i thought the record points was 106; if it is 101 then the fact we can still mathematically achieve that is excellent news.
