I used to play in Everard's Division 2, and have also played in the Leicester & District League for Great Glen 2s before. Nowadays, I'm playing in the Hunts League (just got promoted to Division 1 last season ), in spite of the fact that we play on the Leicestershire/Northants border and are the furthest west team by some way. Last year our furthest away game was against Wisbech! Apparently, we don't play in the South Leicestershire League anymore because all our matches used to end in punch ups, and we had to enter the Hunts League because you have to have a Second XI to enter the Everard's League.

blue blood Posted 23 March 2009 Author Posted 23 March 2009 i am not sure of which league we are in this season (joining a newly formed team) will find out and ley y'all know we have a few pre seasons lined up but can never have enoough match practice so would be good to arrange a friendly....

blue blood Posted 24 March 2009 Author Posted 24 March 2009 You played for anyone before? not me personally, 1st season....big cricket fan and am giving playing a lot of time this season, got a full pre season on and started outdoor training, got another nets on friday and a 35 over match on saturday followed by a 20/20 charity match on tues and nets on fri and hopefully another preseason on the saturday after which will be a fairly decent preseason.

CosbehFox Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 My brother normally plays for Glenfield and Groby's U18 or Seconds. I am normally team coach (as in runaround for the players_ or scorer. Scoring is great stuff when sunny but when I get bored, I often just walk and get lost in some village somewhere. Normally time my return perfectly for the start of Tea.
