Munzie Posted 29 March 2009 Posted 29 March 2009 Most stadiums that dont look like the bowl I eat my cornflakes from.TBH the whole wembley experience was so dissapointing and opressive that it may have taken away from the stadium. But it looks a little dull. Especially compared t other stadiums I've been to. I kind of understand what you mean. I've been to the Emirates a few times and draw similar comparisons to Wembley. I'm not a fan of the symetrical look, but in order to give 90,000+ a decent experience, it's probably the way to go. Nevertheless, they are impressive. I'm waiting for Stanley Park to be give the green light as this too will be impressive from the plans I've seen. It's one of the few new builds that will give the feeling of a good old fashioned football ground with it's different stands.

The new liverpool stadium looked fab but I'll believe it when I see it. Not surprising that americans helped design it, they do tend to go OTT with stadium design but I think new stadiums need a little OTT because if they're not careful every stadium will look the same.
