Fosse Boy Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 It was someone showing that they are a supporter of a different club yet were supporting Luton through their plight. I thought it was a good touch. It really wasn't. It was quite blatantly a glory hunting kid who only went to see his hometown team because they'd made it to Wemberlee.
CosbehFox Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 It's nothing new. When we played at Luton in the Championship a couple of seasons ago, there were kids in the main stand with Man U and Chelsea shirts on.. It really wasn't.It was quite blatantly a glory hunting kid who only went to see his hometown team because they'd made it to Wemberlee. Same at Dons and P'boro this season. People with Leicester shirts on but Liverpool coats.
Fosse Boy Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Same at Dons and P'boro this season. People with Leicester shirts on but Liverpool coats. That doesn't make it alright though.
CosbehFox Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 That doesn't make it alright though. Most certainly not. I only watched highlights and I was aware that some fans of other clubs were going to be in Luton end in order for supporting them. That is all. It was probably a spoilt brat kidathon. Just like the little bug I came across yesterday in borders - United head to toe, he wanted a general footy book but his Mam insisted on buying the Man United Offical Book or something.

Well, let's hope the trophy victory instills a little bit of hometown pride in them and they start supporting Luton full time now because of it.
CosbehFox Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 hometown pride in them & Luton Difficult to put in the same sentence.
TrickyTrev Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Difficult to put in the same sentence. Not this week. A lot of lower league fans support a premier league club as well as their home town club, it makes it more interesting to follow the best sporting competition in the world if you have a bit of partiality.

Now, putting those two phrases in the same sentence is wrong.
Ultra Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Same at Dons and P'boro this season. People with Leicester shirts on but Liverpool coats. Uncle Albert, perhaps?
