Orkneyfox Posted 7 May 2009 Posted 7 May 2009 Championship clubs will enjoy a £400,000 windfall following Birmingham's immediate return to the Premier League. By winning promotion at the first attempt, the Blues do not collect their second parachute payment of £11.2m and that money will now be split between the other teams. (Various) Do we get some of this or is it just clubs that were in the Championship this season?

Edmund Posted 7 May 2009 Posted 7 May 2009 we'll get about 50k from it, league 2 clubs get about 30k I don't understand why the football league don't give each club the same amount of money not taking into account what league they are in. In that sense lower league clubs would get more money. They should invest back into these clubs cause the Luton's, Cheltenhams etc need the cash more. Means the football league would at least be helping the roots.
Legend_in_blue Posted 7 May 2009 Posted 7 May 2009 We don't need any handouts. We're loaded. Give some to the little clubs in the championship. They will need it.
