sbfox Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 Hereford/Leeds weekend was key, but Bristol away was massive I reckon. Down to 10 men, Hobbs sent off and Bunn managed to save that penalty... We then held on with some top defending for the last half hour. Great stuff.
sorrelite Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 Bristol Rovers away. 10 men, penalty save ... it was written
Bert Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 Mk Dons away. It was only a point yes, but we'd been out-played for the whole game bar the first five minutes and a defeat would've really knocked our confidence. The last minute equaliser gave everyone a boost, and it also meant that no-one had gained anything on us (with regards to finishing second) and we were still in prime position to be promoted. If we'd have lost, who knows what would've happened.
Manderic's pants Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 The whole Easter weekend was absolutely key. A dodgy run with a couple of losses, and too many draws meaning our lead was cut and looking increasingly precarious. Then two victories in a row putting us out of sight again. Quality.
