Guest Bilo Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 Saints could be the first real victims of the 10 point penalty. If they are liqudated I hope the arseh0les who voted for it proud of themselves. Agree with this. Never liked the idea of the 10 point penalty, surely the fact that a club is unable to buy new players while in administration but forced to sell their current players to stay afloat is enough of a disadvantage?

I would agree with this. also the 10 point penalty only affects those innocent in these cases: the fans. this doesn't punish those who should be: the owners the FA says that they use the 10 point penalty because "if one club can go into administration without losing anything then it is unfair on those clubs that do pay all of the bills in time" but still being forced into losing there best players for a pittance without being able to replace them is enough of a disadvantage UNLESS they go into administration after the transfer window has closed in which case they can't sell their players to cover their debts and may end up folding meaning that the transfer window is putting clubs at risk.
