SOCCERROO FOX Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Any one got any good links for travel agents in England as looking to go from England to Ireland but want to get approx prices to match it up with the prices if i booked flights etc from here. As got to book in the next few months for next year and got to sot of plan in my head where and how long i go for after the world cup, It may seem earlier but with it being for World Cup need to get booking flights to and from South Africa early. Orignal thoughts are South Africa, England inc Leicester, Ireland also looking at Germany. It is also cheaper to get a round the world ticket which includes America (Vegas or New York) and an Asian country. But not being a seasoned traveller any tips and price approximates links would be greatly appreciated, especially as i may be doing a few of these legs on my own, which makes excites me and makes me shit myself. Also any one (i assume would be a few of you) who has travelled to Ireland got any places to go or see. Thanks.

Round the world tickets charge me per stops. So it may increase the price by $400 where a return from london to Dublin might only be a $100-$200 converted if i get it from england. Plus they might have good package deals.

Flights to ireland are cheap as chips from over here. It'll definatly be a lot cheaper to book it from here than adding it to the round the world ticket. I go from liverpool to belfast for £10 return. Albeit from london would be bit more expensive but if your booking it so far in advance its worth it. Like Hairy said ryanair and easyjet are budget airlines, i've always found easyjet to be slightly cheaper. BMI baby might be worth checking out as well

Since i got back from oz i've been clearing debts/saving to go traveling again myself. I'm the same, much easier to travel now whilst young and free, plus you'll meet more people this way as well.

The only think that is stopping me is the fear, fear that your on your own no support network and stuck sleeping on a park bench some where. But the more I think about it the more I release I can do it for a few months at least and the more I think about it the more nervous I get. But talking to my boss who when he was 20 went backpacking around the world for 4 years, talking to him and hearing his stories makes me realise I would be made not to fook off to europe for a while. Add bonus I will get a chance to see a few city games.

Kokopops sent me a really a couple of really good web sites and they are really hopeful. Thinking of just using Leicester as a base and doing Germany and Ireland from there then seeing where life takes me for a few months until the money runs dry and i either come home or try and find work some where in the UK.

It's a year away so hopefully the unemployment rate has improved as i assume the UK'S is as poor as ours is atm. Thanks i need all the luck i can get, I would imagine i would see quite a few city games and a few LCCC games if i get there in time.

Yeah sort of made my mind up that i'm going to backpack around eurpope til i'm sick of it, not much keeping me here except i'm groomesman at a mates wedding late 09 early 10. Looking forward to just packing my life in to a back pack and just going for it. Just getting my visa all sorted for new zealand at the minute, then once out there will sort one out for canada to finish off the rest of there which i've missed for the trip home.

Experienced traveller, some travilling Rowville I live about 30 mins away from Rowville, i heard theres not too many Australians that live there. See us Aussies barely travel around Australia as it's to bloody far, so we go to Europe instead The wedding is in 2011 i just realised so would have already been gone 6 months.

Worked out well though, got to save a bit and have a great laugh out in the middle of nowhere. I ended up making paving slabs at a factory out in Braeside, was good for a few months at least. And it wasent that far to get into melbourne itself. I was there for that ridicuslous heat wave that hit last january. I'm sorry but it should never be over 40 degrees for that many days running, i dont care what country your in! Its the same here most english people aint visited most of this country either i dont think!

You have gotta love Frankston, managed to get lost out there on the way to a house party, was some interesting viewing on our route to say the least! Went to a couple of AFL games with a guy from there, true bogan in everysense except he was missing the mullet, never seen a guy get into some many fights/tussles in the space of 3 hours

Went to a couple of AFL games with a guy from there, true bogan in everysense except he was missing the mullet, never seen a guy get into some many fights/tussles in the space of 3 hours I can't remember going to the footy with you I live in South Frankston to be honest with you so it's about a 1000 times better and i don't walk around the streets drinking a VB in bare feet and a wife beater.
