Kilworthfox Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 Problem! I have a pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor III boots, I have had them for 2 years and I have worn them on a hand full of occasions. The reason is that when I wear them they give me blisters, as the back of the heel is very low and rubs against my skin. The problem is that they should have been worn in by now and I have tried bending the living poo out of them but I always have the same problem. I am wondering because they are made out of synthetic materials that they will be difficult or impossible to adjust??? Any ideas to stop them from ripping my heels to shreds? If not I am going to have to bite the bullet and give Mike Ashley some more money. I really don't want to do this as they are decent boots and if I can fix this problem they will do a job for me. Any Ideas? Cheers.

Kilworthfox Posted 17 June 2009 Author Posted 17 June 2009 Have you tried putting a heel grip in? No! Go on.....
Webbo Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 http://www.comfy-feet.co.uk/heelgrips.htm These can work with ordinary shoes, not sure about football boots but they're not expensive.

Webbo Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 You stick them to the inside of your shoe not your foot. The sock shouldn't make any difference.
Edmund Posted 17 June 2009 Posted 17 June 2009 Get some of these : They will become your best friend. They are meant for recovering blisters but they will also prevent them. Try some rugby socks or shin pads with full foot support. I have he same problem as you it is a **** when you cant walk for a few days after playing footy.
