coale39 Posted 10 January 2010 Posted 10 January 2010 I think I've discovered the reason for Firefox acting up: It's not yet 64bit compatible. This concerns some plug-ins on 64bit operating systems such as Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. In my case, Shockwave Flash caused a lot of commotion; trying to get online video files playing properly has become a bit of a hassle recently - even under Shiretoko.Until Mozilla release a 64bit version, it's either Google Chrome/Opera/Safari to use. Im on 64bit win 7 and firefox hasnt crashed once for me.
Matt Posted 22 March 2010 Posted 22 March 2010 When I go on websites such as Youtube and I went on a BBC page today that has a video on and Firefox crashes, i've noticed its been 'Not Responding' a few times recently aswell. Has anyone ever experienced this or know how to sort this out?

Matt Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 Aye, i have had that problem as well, plus for some reason mine keeps closing itself...so fricking irritating. Try uninstall/re-installing Firefox. That didn't work for me but might be a solution. Otherwise it could be a virus/spyware and I got a better response, answers and help when starting this thread - http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=65506 It took 3 or 4 programs to finally find the virus/spyware that was causing the problems, the last program suggested by DB11 was the one that fixed my problem. Hope it helps.
