MC Prussian Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 All current Firefox users should try the new 3.5 version - it's a revelation!!! The sites do really load a lot faster, there's a privacy mode and internet videos can now easily be downloaded with a right-click!!! MASSIVE!
Webbo Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 I've had it for about a fortnight and I can't tell the difference.
DB11 Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 Can tell no difference other than a + sign to get a new tab.
Flynny Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 If you want a faster browser Google Chrome is epic. Bit iffy with Flash though.
Gaffer Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 Got converted to Chrome a long while back, use'd to be a devout firefox man before. *downloads*
Gaffer Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 No faster. If you want a faster browser Google Chrome is epic. Bit iffy with Flash though. This
Fox You Forest Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 I just downloaded Chrome it looks so weird without all the clutter at the top of the page, It does seem a hell of alot faster for me though.
Gaffer Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 I just downloaded Chrome it looks so weird without all the clutter at the top of the page, It does seem a hell of alot faster for me though. After a while when you go back to firefox/IE you find the clutter annoying as fook. You just don't need it.
Darkzzz_ Posted 7 July 2009 Posted 7 July 2009 Chrome is my default browser, I was never really a fan of all these add ons anyway, Chrome is the king, smooth. easy and it will only get better. Firefox is still decent though, I do use it now and again, but some of the features they have introduced in 3.5 are playing catch up to Chrome. I also got my hands on a nice little dual view bookmark for Chrome, quite like that for certain comparisons. Link: http://www.chromeplugins.org/plugins/googl...rome-dual-view/ Anyone have any Chrome shares?
lavrentis Posted 7 July 2009 Posted 7 July 2009 The only thing that winds me up with Chrome is that on the downloads page, theres no estimated download time.
dandannieldanok Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Tbh I don't like either of them, Firefox 3.5 is no better than the previous version, and Chrome just has a few annoying quirks for my liking. I'm definitely not going back to IE and cba to download Safari when it's just no better than what I've got already. I'm not easily pleased.
Samilktray Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 I fancy a change, Firefox has been annoying me for ages. Just dont wanna lose all my bookmarks n that.

Darkzzz_ Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Would definitely advise using Chrome, the bookmark system on there is quality. I also just changed my skin from the dull blue to a nice black colour. It makes it visually better.
Samilktray Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Im a fan of it. How do I change the layout colours?
Darkzzz_ Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Visit this site and it will certainly help you out. http://chromespot.com/forum/ Scroll down to the themes section, can't remember which one I chosen but it is very simple to do. Bookmark this site too, it is very handy.
