Part Of The Crowd Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 I would recommend O'Fortuna as a classical piece, it has dynamics and is quite dark and chaotic. If all else fails go for somethng Tchaikovsky. I'll have a go at some more when I get back from work and have access to a computer.
Libertine Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 Tchaikovsky rules all. I completely missed 2 hours worth of his work on the proms tonight, gutted.
act smiley Posted 30 August 2009 Posted 30 August 2009 Also while I'm at it, any suggestions for a mellow, chilled out piece of music that feels calm, floaty and summery (non-classical, I'm thinking Ibiza chillout kinda thing)? Boards of Canada - Dayvan Cowboy.
stez Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 it's a slow burner, but it really kicks off at around 6minutes 30 in. give it time and it'll remind your of your favourite drink
Jay Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 In terms of the classic stuff I think this would tick all the boxes non of the DJ Tiesto crap this is the real deal dark, intense, thought provoking and you can pick out instruments. Samuel Barber Adagio for Strings
