L1 BOYZ Posted 13 May 2005 Posted 13 May 2005 i believe that Leicester's current Post Horn Gallop does not present an excellent atmosphere. After visiting away games the atmosphere is much better. Take a look at Wolves, they have a bloody disco before the game in which every fan participaites in! - does n e fan join in with the post horn gallop ? I think not I think it should be a better atmosphre by playing better tunes such as The Pirhanas, (the song : We're going up, we're going up, we're going up) or alternatives. Despite Post Horn Gallop is a traditional tune, it does nuthing to boost the atmposhere in the ground and therefore should be ditched from next season! What are your views?!?!?
Frenzied Posted 13 May 2005 Posted 13 May 2005 No chance. The post horn gallup is one of the great quirks of LCFC.
Knighton Matt Posted 13 May 2005 Posted 13 May 2005 i remember a few years ago they used to play daydream believer before every city match and EVERYONE joined in with the f**k off mark mcghee bit! that was class people would wait for them to play it and most people joined in would be cool if they could do something similar but don't know what songs we could sing along to and they're all probably too PC at the Walkers to do that kind of thing anyway...
Chimp Posted 13 May 2005 Posted 13 May 2005 When City moved to the Walkers Stadium the fans were asked if they wanted to get rid of the post horn gallop for somthing more modern - the answer was a resounding 'no'. I still that would be the answer today from the majority of fans. It doesn't bother me either way - it's only a small aprt of the pre-match proceedings. If you want to enhance the pre-match atmosphere at the Walkers then they should stop playing the music five minutes before the kick-off so the fans can warm up their chants.
lcfcwill Posted 13 May 2005 Posted 13 May 2005 How many tunes on a saturday night do you change and sing it with random Leicester words (usually then the girls walk away) the music selections just not very good daydream beliver is a classic, and if not just look at England, Great escape and some other tunes everyone joins in.

Our fans don't sing at the walkers remember.

SilverFox Posted 14 May 2005 Posted 14 May 2005 Its OUR tune, we just need someone who can play it! Fecking West Ham came out to it today!!!!!! Grrrrr! OUR tune!!!!! (*but at least the person they had playing it, could actually play it)
The Man With The Golden Grahams Posted 14 May 2005 Posted 14 May 2005 How about a post-horn crazy frog remix? Of they could stick the crazy frog on when the opposition break away. "And they are clean through on goal and this looks trouble for City and...A DING DING DING DING PSSH BAH BAH...Oh he's missed a sitter!" How about it?
lcfctom Posted 15 May 2005 Posted 15 May 2005 I've an idea After watching the West Ham : Ipswich game when they play "bubbles", why not get someone to do a new version of When you're smiling (at the speed sung by the fans) ??? It ends with Leicester ... Leicester I reckon that would get us all going and its an old skool Kop Leicester antham We could keep the PHG for when the players come out and It could be used before the teams are read out
L1 BOYZ Posted 15 May 2005 Author Posted 15 May 2005 Gd idea! sumit like that! improve the atmposhere! Who's the dJ at lesta!?
TornadoShaunUK Posted 15 May 2005 Posted 15 May 2005 I could always get up there and play Bon Jovi's Keep The Faith every week... failing that cheerleaders will do me fine...
