samjohnson Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Has anyone thought about printing a job lot of large £20 notes and holding them up to the fans/board before the game??
Tommeh Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Has anyone thought about printing a job lot of large £20 notes and holding them up to the fans/board before the game?? Stoke did this at Pompey right? If so that makes the idea tinpot and pathetic.
Guest Bilo Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Stoke did this at Pompey right? If so that makes the idea tinpot and pathetic. Agree. We've been in the administration boat ourselves and that alone would make it unfunny. The Stoke connection is the final nail in the coffin.
Hitesh Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Hopefully will be attending if I can get tickets on Thursday!
Shrenchel Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Never really understood this Stoke being tinpot thing?! Inbred cvnts but 2nd oldest club in England, decent history, one of the biggest firms back when that was the flavour, fans always seem loud enough, couple of unique chants that still get sung, no drum, no goal music etc.
samjohnson Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Stoke did this at Pompey right? If so that makes the idea tinpot and pathetic. I have no memory of it but... note taken... In other news... Might try and get to this one... Be knakered for college the next morning

Broing Ground in the middle of fu cking nowhere. Suddenly being able to sell out 28k every week in the PL without rarely mustering over 17 in the Championship until that promotion day (I recognise numbers go up in higher leagues but that takes the piss), once taking less than 500 to us in 2006, knowing a couple of their fans who behave like greebo's constantly. Knowing people in the Stok on trent area and they comment on how the whole town has started slowly throwing away the big 4 tops for the red and white jersey in the past year and a half.
Mikey Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 Thinking of going to this, depending on the price of travel.

Rarely mustering over 17k in the Champ?! I'm pretty sure their average attendance was around 12k until they knew they were pretty much certain to go up that day. Besides Tom, I think you should stop being jealous of Stoke, they're a lovely bunch of people and a great club with awesome tradition. You're being a bitter weapon. fuck me that was painful to write.
Fosse Boy Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 Thinking of going to this, depending on the price of travel. It's free if you back yourself to run quicker than an innocent Brazilian electrician.
Floating Fox Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 Thinking of going to this, depending on the price of travel. You really don't wanna miss it
Tommeh Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 Ok, Tom, might be going on the train now Yeah i've just seen train can be done for £21. I may need to be back in sheffield that night though....I'm now in a huge dilemma. Then again if it's just you and Mikey I may be able to squeeze you in. Depends A) I I have a 4/5 seat car or B) If 4 seats if Ched comes. I would however much prefer train.
lcfc_jme Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 Can do Nottingham - St Panc and St Panc - Leic for less than £15 on the train.. Waiting for the heads up...
lcfcadam Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 Getting the train back that arrives in Leicester at 02.08, then college the next morning...
lildave3 Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 Getting the train back that arrives in Leicester at 02.08, then college the next morning... Try work at 6am! Worth it though
Tommeh Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 Just seen I can do a return from Sheffield for £14.50, last train back is 22:25 however Just spoke to Ched James, he said he'll know by friday and will book a train as long as prices are the same and theres no point raising a car for 3 of us as with tube train will be cheaper.
lcfcadam Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 Try work at 6am!Worth it though You're a harder man than me, I'm still comatose after less than 5 hours sleep...

Fosse Boy Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 Rumour has it an Ultra train may be departing via Harborough. Sadly I'll be on board the loner train from Colchester instead. <_<
Tommeh Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 Prices will increase by around £5 I'd have thought come Friday.. S'up to ya.. Book ours tomorrow, if Bens mind's made up on train then theres no point whatsoever in me driving you and ched which could even just be you if he has to work.
