SUSD Posted 19 March 2010 Author Posted 19 March 2010 I joined years ago, but haven't logged on in years so can't remember my username - oops! Isn't there an option to ask for a reminder to be sent to your email address? Also the board moved over to Vital last year so you may not be registered on that one?! As i said there are already a few Leicester on there so come and join the banter.
C-man Posted 19 March 2010 Posted 19 March 2010 Loadsss of Leicester on there. Purple Ronnie, Tommeh, Shrenchel, AFIE, Floating Fox and JME all have accounts. I'm Sheffield-Fox

It does, but only if I can remember which username I had Given that none of the usual suspects work, I might as well re-register.
Fosse Boy Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 Copied from SUSD: A message from the Football Supporters Federation. The new coalition government has pledged to scrap unnecessary and “nannying” laws. We believe that the ban on standing at football grounds in the top two divisions is just this. In England and Wales, you can stand in rugby grounds, at Speedway events, at Horse racing events, even lower league football grounds. We don’t believe the top football clubs should be singled out and treated differently. If you agree you can now say so on the Governments new “Your Freedom” website, by visiting http://yourfreedom.hmg.gov.uk/cutting-business-and-third-sector-reg... Please support our motion and (especially important) add some brief comments. You need to register to do so, but it takes literally two minutes and would help our campaign massively. Bear in mind that for the first time we have a party in government (the Lib Dems) who support Safe Standing as official party policy, so the Your Freedom website gives us a great opportunity to press our case. If our motion becomes one of the most popular, then this greatly helps our aim to turn that support into government policy. We need YOUR support for this to happen. --- The FSF is an organisation run by fans for fans. We advise and represent supporters on a range of issues. You can find out more about us at: http://www.fsf.org.uk/about-the-fsf.php) and hopefully you will also decide to join us, completely free of charge, at http://www.fsf.org.uk/join.php) If you have any questions about this or anything to do with the Football Supporters Federation Safe Standing campaign please get in touch with [email protected] or [email protected] – the campaign co-ordinators. Read more: http://susd.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=4391&start=1#ixzz0y7MV4UD7 This really does have the potential to do an awful lot of good for all fans (standers and sitters) if enough people support it, so get involved! Fosse Boy Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 Sorry chap didn't see it. Come on people! Everyone's got an opinion on this especially following on from the discussions on here over the last couple of days. It takes literally two minutes to register and leave a comment, and could have a major impact for football fans up and down the land, but the government needs to see people are serious in their support for any such motion.

Definitely. So many people on here want the option to stand but aren't willing to do anything about the situation. It's this total apathy that gets football supporters in this country nowhere yet knuckledragging ****** like the EDL can organize themselves for all sorts of demos. It's very disheartening. Come on people!!
Fosse Boy Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 I notice there now appears to be an "Ozwin" lurking around the SUSD boards...
Ozwin Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 I notice there now appears to be an "Ozwin" lurking around the SUSD boards... , not really sure what you want me to say. I'm happy to join but there's not a lot to say that hasn't been done already.

Fox You Forest Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 I left a comment and rated it, everything has been covered re standing so went on some tangent about it having a knock effect to lower ticket prices, still every little helps.
davieG Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 Posted this topic earlier but go no responses I responded by going to the site and rating/posting on there, so worked for me.
C-man Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 I responded by going to the site and rating/posting on there, so worked for me. I did actually notice that after Fosse Boy had posted the link again. Cheers for making it worthwhile
The Year Of The Fox Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 Another indirectly related FB thread, but I did post this yesterday, but seems to have been removed. I think its hugely important that the FB get our backing, and to take it a step further there is a petition online ran by the FSF with the link below. Have a read and see what you think, We need to get Section 11.1 removed from the law. My link Apologies if the thread hadn't been deleted, but it certainly disappeared rather quickly!
Houdini Logic Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 Might be worth giving a bit of background info - i.e. why people should sign this, what the current laws state, why this needs to change etc...

The Year Of The Fox Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 Might be worth giving a bit of background info - i.e. why people should sign this, what the current laws state, why this needs to change etc... Sorry just thought its easier to give the link. I only have 10mins before I'm back to work. Basically Section 11.1 of the Football Spectators Act dictates that the Secretary of State implements a law that stadiums in the top two tiers of English football shall be all seated. How many of you went away games in League 1? How good was the atmosphere? How many of us stand in L 1 and and don't suffer any danger? We need to be allowed safe standing ares, as is done brilliantly in the Bundesliga. Atmospheres at our grounds up and down the country are dying a death. The only one I've been to thats worse than The Walkers is Wembley. I'm not even looking forward to going there on Friday! Sorry its a bit vague, bu the link I posted gives all the info you need to know. Thanks http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=65226 Sorry Though this is slightly different I believe

1964FOX Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 Fact- it's as safe to stand in a seated area as it is to sit down. This info is per the football licensing authority. Problem is not all seated stadia it's the perception that it's unsafe to stand in a seated area. Another fact, you are more likely to be stung by a wasp at a football match than injure yourself through standing.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 its more dangerous standing in a seated area than it is standing in a designated area. The law is outed dated and was a knee jerk reaction to the tragic loss of lives at Hillsborough. But it was not the fact that people were standing that caused this
1964FOX Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 Arguably it's more dangerous to sit in seated area as the FLA statistics show recorded injuries of people falling off their seats
