I've been a big fan of Westy for years and his time has come. He will win the US Masters and we will beat his team in the play-off final :-)

On BBC 2 now and its top quality sport and entertainment

I used to play a lot but never could watch it, but now I dont play but love watching the masters and the open.

Wouldn't be surprised if mickelson won it though.

My guess is this: Couples to win it in a play-off with Mickelson with Westwood finishing a shot behind them both, you heard it here first.

I'd love that!

So to make guess credible who is in playoff then? By the way you will be wrong.......but as writing this Tiger holed second for an eagle so......

Play-off will be between Couples and Mickelson.

Oh right, nice one.

The weather looks absolutely gorgeous there.

Yeah, also the course is in amazing condition seeing as though it was covered in snow about 5 weeks ago, hats off to the course staff.

Dark horse Anthony Kim

Needs two birdies from the last two to be in with a reallistic chance in my opinion. However, it will still look unlikely as Mickelson is almost certain to finish under par for his last holes. Can't look past Mickelson now.

He is favourite but Kim/Westy can still win

Can't see it unfortunately :( Would LOVE Westwood to do it though, needs to start hitting the short stuff from his drives.

Phil Mickelson played an absolute gem of a round, to go bogey free in a final round at the Masters in the final pairing is amazing!! His second shot on the 13th was out of this world, still would of fancied myself to have sunk that Eagle put, taking nothing away from him though because over the four days Phil certainly deserved it, shooting 68, 68 in his last two rounds (when it matters) shows what a pro he is.

Westwood will soon get his major, just hope it wont take him aslong as Sergio.

Fairplay to Woods aswell, to have not played for 5 months and to hit under par on every round is still pretty impressive, especially after some of his shite shots over the weekend, he said he will take abit of time off, he cant keep doing this if he wants to get back to his best, the US Open is coming up and you would think he would need to play another two tournaments before to challenge at Pebble Beach.

Told ya!

Just something about the yanks, they just have something in reserve when it matters.

The Americans know when to attack and know when not to, Mickelson done this over the last two days and it shown, especially yesterday in going bogey free. Anthony Kym's back 9 yesterday was one of my peronal highlights of the tournament.

Can't help but agree with pretty much every word of this. Gutted for Westwood, but he just never got going at the start of his round which was the crucial thing, even though he was holding it together relatively well, it was never consistent. Have to admit Mickelson got lucky on a few occasions, but that counts for nothing unless you take advantage of it, which he certainly did. Some of his par saving up and downs were superb towards the end of the front nine.

I wouldn't count Westwood out of the remaining majors this year though, he's showed he's got what it takes - he played some quite brilliant shots yesterday. The bunker shot at 8 and his approach into 17 to name just two. Also holing the critical putts at both 16 and 17, just a shame about the missed birdie opportunity on 15. Would have loved to have seen an English winner, but no arguments with Mickelson winning it with an absolutely flawless final round.

Think Woods would definitely have had more of a say if he had played a tournament or two before this one, to finish 4th, even with playing some of the horrendous shots he did was pretty remarkable. Never seen him look so relieved to have finished a tournament though.

Mickelson's recovery shots were just a cut above the rest. His ability to get himself out of awkward spots was the defining factor in his deserved win.

It didn't seem like many players (maybe apart from Choi) could strike the ball well from the tee yesterday. But well done to Mickelson for winning, and Westwood for his performance over the 4 days :)

Loved that, I always do look forward to the Masters every year. Mickelson was brilliant yesterday, fully deserved the win, to go through a round at Augusta bogey-free with the pressure of the final group on a Sunday is special. After what his family has been through this is a great win for the Mickleson's, pleased for them. Wanted Westwood to win it but he just didn't match Phil's class, his tee to green play let him down badly.
