Fox You Forest Posted 29 April 2010 Posted 29 April 2010 Starts Tomorrow at 5pm, First game Sri Lanka v New Zealand, Sky Sports 1. Group A Pakistan Bangladesh Australia Group B Sri Lanka New Zealand Zimbabwe Group C South Africa India Afghanistan Group D West Indies England Ireland Mon 3, England v West Indies, 6pm, Sky Sports 1 Tue 4, England v Ireland, 6pm, Sky Sports 1 I'll be very interested to see how Afghanistan get on, they're supposedly flying up the rankings and beat Ireland in a warm up game yesterday, couldn't have asked for a tougher group in their first ever tournament though.
Fosse Boy Posted 29 April 2010 Posted 29 April 2010 Hope the ICC make the most of holding it in the Caribbean this time, not like the 07 World Cup fiasco...
Fox You Forest Posted 29 April 2010 Author Posted 29 April 2010 Yeah, be a shame if it's too expensive for the locals again cause it could be a cracking tournament on their flat pitches, well not so much for bowlers.
Edmund Posted 29 April 2010 Posted 29 April 2010 Always enjoy watching twenty20, you're right time has flown since the last one.
Fosse Boy Posted 29 April 2010 Posted 29 April 2010 Yeah, be a shame if it's too expensive for the locals again cause it could be a cracking tournament on their flat pitches, well not so much for bowlers. Is T20 ever fun for bowlers?
Fox You Forest Posted 29 April 2010 Author Posted 29 April 2010 Is T20 ever fun for bowlers? True. Don't think we'll do much again, crawl through the group and lose in the next round as usual especially with KP ready to fly home at any minute for the birth of his child, man up.
Fox You Forest Posted 29 April 2010 Author Posted 29 April 2010 I'd go for Sri Lanka, similar conditions and all that, plus Murali.
ScouseFox Posted 29 April 2010 Posted 29 April 2010 Not expecting a lot from England. Just nothing embarrassing please.
FoxyPV Posted 29 April 2010 Posted 29 April 2010 Ireland would spank England if they hadn't already taken all our best players! Can't see past India though but would love the Windies to do well.
Hitesh Posted 29 April 2010 Posted 29 April 2010 Wish this was on terrestrial tv! Should be a good tournament with no clear front runner at the moment IMO. The Afgans will be a surprise package though and so that will be interesting to see. Also, hopefully the Pakistanis will not revert to their cheating tactics, especially their captain!

Edmund Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Ireland would spank England if they hadn't already taken all our best players! Isn't both Ireland, Scotland and Welsh cricket teams just full of English public school rejects anyway Even the dutch team cricket has a few English players who qualify through citizenship.
Hitesh Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Isn't both Ireland, Scotland and Welsh cricket teams just full of English public school rejects anyway Even the dutch team cricket has a few English players who qualify through citizenship. But then again, the England side do have quite a few South Africans in their team!
Fosse Boy Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Isn't both Ireland, Scotland and Welsh cricket teams just full of English public school rejects anyway Even the dutch team cricket has a few English players who qualify through citizenship. Not really in Ireland's case, most of their squad are home grown. Wales don't have a national team (if they did it would probably be most of the Glamorgan squad). Holland have had a fair few Saffas in their side down the years I think.
Edmund Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 But then again, the England side do have quite a few South Africans in their team! Haha true. Not really in Ireland's case, most of their squad are home grown. Wales don't have a national team (if they did it would probably be most of the Glamorgan squad). Holland have had a fair few Saffas in their side down the years I think. I was only joking but must admit I thought that the Irish team wouldn't have much home grown. Isn't the Scottish side practically all English? You're right the dutch are basically a South Africa reject side, for some reason I thought they had some English players but I think I'm getting confused with the Scottish.
FoxyPV Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Isn't both Ireland, Scotland and Welsh cricket teams just full of English public school rejects anyway Even the dutch team cricket has a few English players who qualify through citizenship. They have one or two Aussies/ Saffas who were born in Ireland (i think) but emigrated whilst very young. They should really make them play with hurling sticks to even it out as they are THAT good :D
ScouseFox Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Think Sri Lanka will win today, especially now they've won the toss & chose to bat.
FoxyPV Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 streams for the tournament?? try this www.p2p4u.net usually works for anything shown on sky
