dandannieldanok Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Gotta love Marcel Desailly Yea he's great, permanent smile on his face there. Best thing about him is that he couldn't really give a shit about France when asked about them, the man is all Ghana this world cup.
BoneDog Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Ghana are that little bit better. In 6 years time though the USA will be a force in world football For real
purpleronnie Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Well I wanted the USA to do well at the start but getting grief everyday at work pissed me off that I'm glad the USA are out. I will take great joy if somehow we can beat Germany.
AmericanScott Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Oh well had to end some time. Well done to USA for getting this far and having a cracking world cup. Best of luck to Ghana. You are Africa's hope now.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Delighted for Ghana, thought they were unlucky against Germany and were very impressive. Also, I think it's good for the World Cup that an African side is doing well here, as trite as that's going to sound. Hopefully they'll dump out Uruguay and in the semi-final, who knows what might happen?
Sparky Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Theres some kind of Ghanaian conga going round our crescent !!
dandannieldanok Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 Well done to USA for getting this far and having a cracking world cup. Has it really been a "cracking world cup" for USA? Genuine question because as an outsider I'd personally call it a mediocre world cup for them. 4 games, 1 scraped win, fulfilled expectations by getting out of the group but no more. Perhaps I'm wrong and the USA fans will be satisfied, just throwing it out there.
Koke Posted 26 June 2010 Posted 26 June 2010 How woeful are Findley and Altidore. Absolute atrocious. USA got a good solid competent team but their strikers are so out of their depth it's not even funny. Hopefully a half decent striker will come through for 2014. Or else they can just nick one the Mexican kids and stick them up front.

They've been pretty unlucky with some decisions that could have changed that record, but not losing in 90 mins in 4 games aint too bad.

Many people don't regard the USA as a football nation so to have at least got to the last 16 is fine by me. The US had some great moments this WC that wont be forgotten (hopefully). Lucky draw against England, amazing come back against Slovenia, last minute winner against Algeria. I'd say it's been pretty exciting.
