CheshireFox Posted 21 July 2010 Posted 21 July 2010 Hi- living in the northwest I have decided to go along to my first away game this season, with a couple of other foxes fans. i'm not a season ticket holder due to my location but i am a member, my question is; what are our chances of getting 4 tickets to the Burnley game? are we likely to sell out before it gets to members sale? how many away tickets can you buy per person? also, what is Burnley like for away fans to go to? theyre not all bonkers are they? thanks!

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 21 July 2010 Posted 21 July 2010 I would say your chances of getting tickets for Burnley is high (assuming its not a really small allocation we are given), and I'd imagine they will reach General Sale. Pretty sure you can only buy one ticket per person until it reaches general sale, but not too sure. Never been to Burnely so cant tell you anything else.

Guest parky0607 Posted 21 July 2010 Posted 21 July 2010 I live in Blackpool and I didn't have too much trouble getting to all the away games near here last season, and that was waiting for general sale. Ironically, the only game I had problems with was Blackpool, but that was because of the small amount of tickets they gave us.... I ended up calling the club the day before and someone had returned a ticket so i got it posted next day pre 12! Ive got a membership now for this season anyway.
CheshireFox Posted 21 July 2010 Author Posted 21 July 2010 thanks everyone, so presumably for us all to get seats together we will have to either go to the ground together to collect them (not ideal due to 2 of us being in cheshire and only the other 2 being in leicester- would be fine if you could get 2 tickets each...) or we will just have to try to swap seats or something at the ground? to make matters more complicated im a member, my other half isnt, my friend is a season ticket holder and his other half isnt! dont really understand why there is a limit to you getting one ticket per person although am guessing it may be to stop groups of trouble makers rolling up?

There's only a limit on ticket sales during the first four days of sale. The first day (usually a Monday) is Priority One season ticket holders, the next day is P2, third day is P3 (standard season ticket holders) and the fourth day is members. During these days there is a limit of one ticket per season ticket/member (to stop P1 season ticket holders buying ten tickets for their mates, for example). When tickets go on General Sale you can buy more than one per transaction. I'd imagine that for Burnley away you'd be fine to ring up and buy four tickets in one go when they go on General Sale (because they're unlikely to sell out before then). If not four in one go, then definitely two lots of two. Even if you buy them at different times (and have different seats), you can always go into the ticket office with the four tickets and exchange them for four next to each other. Not ideal for you, but you could probably send your two tickets to your friend in Leicester and ask them to do it. Hope that helps! Also, sorry if I explained something pretty obvious at the beginning (about how the priority system works), I figured it would be easier just to go through everything!

wc-remix Posted 21 July 2010 Posted 21 July 2010 Just going to ask the same question. Coming over from Aus in October and am not missing Leeds/Swansea away. I'm pretty sure Swansea tickets will be easy to come by however how about the Leeds ones?

Leeds is a tuesday night, certain you won't have problems unless of course its 1st v 2nd or something ridiculous.
covefox Posted 22 July 2010 Posted 22 July 2010 well being in Aberdeen I have booked up cheap train to Burnley and also flights for coventry in the hope that tickets will be pretty freely available. It has been for a few seasons and I can not see that changing this season.

Its Easier to get to than the walkers. For £50 you cant complain. It is a shame that us international fans cant get a priority booking for away games so we can book travel in advance for cheap Lets hope its not moved from the 1230 saturday did get stung on the forest home game. blumming sky moving to Monday, had to pay easyjet another £25 cus of them, was hoping that at worse it would move to friday night, sat lunch or tea time or sunday, but no monday. Extra day off work had to be taken. Things I do to watch my team.
