Not sure what crack he was on when he saw this but when those other 'fans' started singing Ingerlund we just ignored them and one of them decided to square up to the smallest Fosse Boy there. Interesting that the poster who damns our 'links' with the dangerous, radical and violent UAF supported by the Marxist rebel MP David Cameron (they've posted messages of support on our Facebook page and offered us anti EDL badges) is called Alfred and is closely followed by Alfred88. Nothing at all significant about the number 88 either. No sir bob.

If 'leftist' is really the worst scandalous accusation that the group's detractors can throw at us, I happen to think we're doing well.

that dribble truly astonishes me. The worst thing is that other readers of the mercury who won't have researched the fosse boys will probably join the bandwaggon and this will just make it easier for the club to appear like they are being reasonable.

Luckily those idiots (sorry, that idiot) are very much in the minority with pretty much everyone else telling him how wrong he is. The reception from other City fans has been overwhelmingly positive, something that can't be said of a lot of Ultra groups in this country. What's most encouraging, or annoying depending on their standpoint, from the club's point of view is that fans of all ages are in favour. A lady on the phone in said she'd move her season ticket if the Fosse Boys were made to move because she enjoyed it so much, and she was in her 60s. So the support for us is actually over a fairly broad demographic thankfully, and hopefully ordinary Mercury readers will see that.

Fortunately very few Mercury readers pick up on what's said on the website, unless it's reprinted in the paper.

The paper and several of its reporters have made it very clear whose side they're on. The fact that we've been available for comment, while the club hasn't, has also worked in our favour.
