Ashley Posted 23 September 2010 Posted 23 September 2010 I have the Blackberry Bold 9700 and the screen has gone on the phone, has anybody else had a similar problem? At first my pictures went really pixelated and I had different colours showing up on screen, earlier I took the phone out of its wallet and the screen is just white. Help I do not have insurance as I didnt think I would need it however all electrical equipment comes with a free years waranty. Anybody had any similar problems?
Jackirius Posted 23 September 2010 Posted 23 September 2010 Take the battery and sim out, use a different Sim see if it still is broke.
Ashley Posted 23 September 2010 Author Posted 23 September 2010 Take the battery and sim out, use a different Sim see if it still is broke. I've taken the battery out, I have no other sim cards which are o2. Previously i've been with vodafone and 3, I left my 3 contract to go to o2 and I have to say i regret it.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 23 September 2010 Posted 23 September 2010 If the screen is frozen white, Its bad news. Equivalent of RROD on Xbox. Mine had it, take it back, they'll give u a brand new phone.
Tilley Posted 23 September 2010 Posted 23 September 2010 Yeah, happened SIX times to me. Can't wait to get rid of the fucking thing.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 23 September 2010 Posted 23 September 2010 Yeah, happened SIX times to me. Can't wait to get rid of the fucking thing. Yep. I got the 8520 curve, its crap. They'll give you the same phone but a new one. Im not into Phones, but I can't wait to get rid. HTC's are awesome from what i've heard, The iPhone obviously or the new Nokia or new samsung are good.
DB11 Posted 23 September 2010 Posted 23 September 2010 Take the battery and sim out, use a different Sim see if it still is broke. How is that going to make any difference?
Jackirius Posted 23 September 2010 Posted 23 September 2010 How is that going to make any difference? Sometimes if the sim card is corrupt then it can freeze your phone. Blackberrys have stupid yet simple solutions sometimes.
Ashley Posted 23 September 2010 Author Posted 23 September 2010 Thankyou for the replies people. I have pictures of my sister and family members on my phone who are young, would there be any way of wiping my blackberry? You never know whos out there. IF o2 do give me a new phone i'll just ask to keep my memory card(hopefully the pics are saved to that)...
Tilley Posted 23 September 2010 Posted 23 September 2010 Pictures should have saved to your media card.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 We are issued Blackberrys at Thames Valley Police. Whenever there is a problem, it's usually complicated. However, we do get issued with new ones.
