Best city centre boozer for live Sky?

Recommended Posts

As it says on the tin...

What's decent atmosphere / beer etc for Live Sky in the city centre...preferably somewhere en route back to the train station? :dunno:

Looking for somewhere to catch Boro v Leeds on Saturday after the Hull game. Cheers.

Try Varsity or The Globe, where alot of people don't realise they have sky.

Apart from that I'm out of ideas.

Towns pretty shit for live footy now, doubt many places will be showing Boro vs Leeds, especially if there is a Prem game at that time?

We watch all our footy in our local The Foresters, landlord just puts on what you wanna watch.

Varsity too far away. Globe doesn't have Sky. fook me is it that bad in the city centre these days?

How about O'Neills or something?

The Globe does have sky now mate, it's upstairs out of the way so not many people know about it.

The city centre is sadly lacking in a good footie pub since the Hogs Head became the bloody Slug and Lettuce, I go O Neills now, its ok. Still a bit of a trek to the train station give yourself 10-15 mins from the pub to the train station longer if you have had a few!

I tend to watch the saturday 12.45 kick off in O Neills, only problem is that if any rugby is on that takes preference.
