I am from this caste and I can do this.... you are suppopsed to be a higher caste but have nothing like it' kind of thing.... Only brahmins i think, who are the priestly caste. I think baniyas are in the same clump as rajputs!! Most baniyas I know are punjabi khatri and are the biggest tossers on the planet, infact in alot of the bhangra songs they are often criticised!! Punjabi baniye are also known as Khatri, and majority of hindus other then dalits are of Khatri descent.
