Guest ttfn Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 There a few foxes fans in london but not great at meeting up. Newcastle fans meet up at pub on Bond St and get quite a lot for their TV games. Did go to the Sports bar once in haymarket for a Reading match and there was about 6 of us, Suggest there or the Famous 3 kings next to west ken tube station. Famous 3 Kings on a Saturday afternoon is a cracking venue. Obviously this is a Tuesday night, so that comment has virtually no relevance. Would be interested to hear more about this pub owned by a City fan.
Tigers Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 I've been there to watch the ice hockey world championship, they're pretty good for sport. hackneyfox mentioned a pub that's owned by a Leicester fan. Nigel, the Landlord of The Stags Head, New Cavendish Street, W1 is a huge Leicester fan. He seems to go to most games, home and away.
Guest Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 I'm goin to the match or I'd pop along to watch it with y'all. I'm based over in Ealing at the mo. Got a 4.30am starting shift the morning after the match, not looking forward to that. Drive straight back to London and straight to work, lovely stuff
He's not bald Posted 16 January 2011 Posted 16 January 2011 I'm in Greenwich for a couple of days will pop into town if you let me know the venue!
Alexikokopops Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Someone else mentioned this to me once. Could be a decent option if he's got posh telly and that. Anyone know where it is? Whereabouts in Islington you live btw mate? On Caledonian Road, a couple of minutes from the tube station. Are you in Islington too? Nigel, the Landlord of The Stags Head, New Cavendish Street, W1 is a huge Leicester fan. He seems to go to most games, home and away. That's the badger! Not too far from my work too, I'll have to bare it in mind for future games.
Mark Goodwin's son Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Definitely up for this. Post up the pub on Tuesday. My local in Brixton will show the game, but it will be nice to watch it with some Leicester fans. I'm Brixton based, what pub do you watch football in? I usually go to the Effra Hall on Kellett road - If they've got espn i'll be in there on tuesday, but equally would be happy to join other foxes.
Shrenchel Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 On Caledonian Road, a couple of minutes from the tube station. Are you in Islington too? Live on cally road too actually, what are the fvcking chances. Bit further down towards Kings Cross.
Cockney Fox Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Hi All, New here and it's my first post! Glad to see so many of you in London. I just moved to Camden and watch most games in the Camden Arms as they show everything! Would be good to watch some of the games with fellow Foxes so I'll be keeping an eye on here - keep posting where's good as I have no clue at the minute! Cheers.
onekeithweller Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Haha, too many times have I been caught trying that one, it's my baby face that does it thanks anyway mate, next year I'll travel around a bit more, so maybe we'll meet up for a few then? I had this problem 36 years ago and I started wearing a wide-brimmed fedora, it always got me served, trouble is these days some pubs ban hats, don't get me started on that one. You can't smoke a cigar either -modern life is rubbish. Enjoy the victory!
BNET Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 I'm in Greenwich for a couple of days will pop into town if you let me know the venue! Theres three City fans that l know who live around Greenwich, all post on Bentleys Roof.
East London Fox Posted 18 January 2011 Author Posted 18 January 2011 I had a little look to see who has ESPN on in the City. A few of us are heading to the Railway Tavern, on Liverpool street at about 18:30. Would be good to watch it with a few city fans if anyone is about!
Ric Flair Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 I've just got back to London after 4 weeks in Thailand. If I can stay awake I'm keen for a beer. Where's it at then boys? In NW2 but can get stuck in all over. Thierry.
Alexikokopops Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 Live on cally road too actually, what are the fvcking chances. Bit further down towards Kings Cross. Ha, ridiculous. Around the prison/overground station, or further down than that?
Shrenchel Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 Yeah, between there and the pool. Moving towards holloway road next month though. Let me know if you ever wanna pop round and sit on my face.
