I think there is a fair amount of jealousy in that statement, whether we have or haven't spent big so far, as its pretty clear we are showing huge ambition. Something he probably can't do at sheff utd as they're pretty much skint.

Yes Cardiff payed a lot for Bellamy wage wise but he's the only standout signing on ludicrous amounts. People are also forgetting Davies, Kirkland, Naughton who are all on top premier wages, plus there loan fees. Then their is Abe who's on a fair whack, Waghorn who's also on big wages and not forgetting the £2,000,000 + add ons to bring him here. Vassell, Cunnigham, Mee, contract extensions which include signing on fees for Howard, King and soon to be Wellens. Ricardo, Uchechi, Bamba and the shit load of trialists who also get paid a wage to take part in a trial. Lamey, Moreno, Vitor etc etc the list goes on.... To say we've not spent much money is silly. Saying all that I couldn't give a shit and am more than happy that the owners are delving deep into their pockets but I'm not going to delude myself and think we've not been spending that much. 55k a week over a year would only be couple of million, and its not even going to be any where near a year.. davies loan was beneficial to both clubs so i doubt we would have picked up his full tab, kirkland was here for less time than its took me to reply .. so not much on them 2.. we cant really guess how much naughton abe waghorn are on but i dont see why it needs to be huge amounts.. 2 million for waghorn, but we sold matty, dj i imagine for more than that. 25 players have gone out, with 17 in .. plus contract extensions etc dont you think the other teams have to do the same?? Considering we have the thai owners and all the talk of money i personally dont think we have been spend spend spend..
