North-LondonFox Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 Fantastic result, I just wish Jeff Sclupp had a little more time to recover before the next round.
ramadaone Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Went to the game and on the whole there was some really good stuff and to be fair to Preston there was very little between the sides and how they weren't awarded a penalty in the last minute I'll never know.At certain times one team looked like taking complete control only for the other one to fight back with perhaps City have a few better clear cut chances. Certainly some excellent performances but I find it difficult to say who looked and who didn't simply because you don't know how good the opposition is. Personally don't think it would help Schlupp to be playing in the first team yet - he got bollocked a few times for not holding up the ball againgst yuff yeam players so he would certainly get knocked about by a hard nosed Championship centre half - yes when he's running towards goal he is fast and tricky with a grey shot but but IMHO he's not ready yet. The best player on the park by some way in my opinion was the Preston skipper who actually got sent off in the end !! His name is Seanan Clucas and may have gone unnoticed by a lot of fans but he looked some player to me and is certainly one to watch.
