muzzy1981 Posted 29 March 2011 Author Posted 29 March 2011 Fair enough just thought i'd throw it out there for opinion. I tend to agree that experimenting with this Naughton time of the season would be silly. I guess what I'm getting at is hopefully in the future we will have a squad that can succesfully switch to a 442 system with quality wingers and solid full-backs, with natural width on both sides, but not wingbacks who can get exposed more easily. I'm sure Sven has all this in hand.
Wymsey Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 Unless the formation changes to a 3-5-2 formation with Vitor, Bamba and Mee at the back, but i don't like the sound of that really.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 Goalie Bruma Bamba Vitor Naughton PVA King Wellens Abe Kamara The Yak Sounds good. I like that and nod to LargeAl for reminding me of PVA. Oh, and nicely sidestepped on the Ricardo/Wealo controversy Bert.
ibbosuk Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 Shoot me down but what are peoples thoughts on, if we play 442, could Naughton be pushed forward, with Vitor playing Rb. Vitor I feel would be more suited to the Rb role in a 442. Just like mee at lb when we play 442. Plus we all know how deadly naughton is when cuts in. Play him ANYWHERE, he's better than all the rest put together, pity we will only see him for another few more games...(Then he will be gone for good)....We are Soooooo Wank...<_<
muzzy1981 Posted 4 April 2011 Author Posted 4 April 2011 Appears that Neville Foulger has been reading the foxes forum......... "So, here's a thought. How about converting the outstanding Kyle Naughton into an attacking wide midfielder, and deploying someone else at right-back. Miguel Vitor, perhaps. The more I see of Naughton, the more I think he could become City's Gareth Bale. He has all the qualities – pace, skill, control and goalscoring ability. Even from right-back he has scored five times this season. It might be worth a try." http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/sport/Naughton-Gareth-Bale-Sven-fancies-switch/article-3404505-detail/article.html
