My Gran used to live in Ratby in the fairly big house thats on the corner of Groby Road and Markfield Road, it used to be called 'The Croft' but that was about 15 years ago, I was wondering if anyone who lives in the area might possibly be able to take a quick photo of it next time they're passing as I'm really interested in what it looks like now. Many thanks if anyone is able to do this. I used to love going there in the summer and have heard some horror stories about changes that have been made to it.

ajthefox Posted 27 March 2011 Posted 27 March 2011 I'm not home from uni until the 15th, but I live about 10 minutes away. I go past it every day at work, whenever I play golf, whenever I go to a best mates in Markfield and quite often generally when I'm just out and about. From what I recall I don't remember anything modern but I suppose if your talking 15+ years ago I probably wouldn't notice. Will try and remember to take a camera down on my bike one day when I'm back though mate.

Nowt like a burglar getting someone else to case the joint on his behalf!!! Come to think of it, it does sound fairly dodgy. It did actually get burgled while my Gran was there, bastards made off with a few grands worth of toby jugs.
