It's laid out on the pitch and the ball boys waggle it up and down for about 5 minutes before the teams come on.

Surely the one we've got now is just the same as the ones they pass over the crowd? And as DavieG says it will more than likely be used for the same thing it is now but with next seasons design, doesn't actually say it will be a surfer in the article.

Yes obviously I've seen the one in the centre cirlce, I thought you meant we pass it over the crowd every game.
