Get Sony Ericsson Xperia ARC .. It's the best phone on the planet at the minute, cheaper on contract then Iphone 4 and out performs it in many ways.

Here's a decent review.

I beg to differ, my HTC Incredible S is the best phone out!

Do you charge it twice daily? .. Or have HTC actually managed to put a phone out there where you can scrape a full days use out of it?

Windows Phone 7 is still, relatively speaking, very much in its infancy. If you're looking for a phone with an OS that's stable and very well supported for apps, I'd go Android or iPhone. That said, Windows Phone 7 is only going to get better (first major update due September) and should have none of the annoying update problems that plague Android where carriers can pick and choose what they want their customers to have on their phone. I'd definitely consider getting one if you have nothing to compare it against and are willing to judge it on its own merits, and not after having its features compared one-for-one with a fruit-based phone.

As for the battery argument, I very much doubt any phone would deliver more than 24-36 hours of life if it's used "as intended". I can get two days out of my HTC Desire, but that's if I use it for phone calls only and checking email. Forget browsing the web an hour a day on WiFi and playing Angry Birds on the underground. But if you can't get to a power socket more than once a day, don't get a smartphone is my advice :)
