Brown Fox Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Well if anybody sees his twitter he is getting absolutely tonnes of abuse from us Leicester fans.
B52 Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 A lot of contradictory, hypocritical stuff there. Does he even know what he thinks himself?? He probably knows but he doesn't care a bit.
Joe. Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 That's a very brave statement to make, especially from a writer and blogger of your experience. He may have exaggerated his reaction to Carl Baker's challenge on Saturday, but he didn't fake it, any more than Keogh did to Vassell's challenge previously (which curiously went reported by Calvin). It is one thing to criticise Wellens for his limitations as a footballer (I do it myself on a fairly regular basis, as other threads will show). But querying his integrity is a more serious matter, and might in other circumstances attract legal interest. First things first, I love having Wellens as a Leicester City player. I am in the corner for his abilities as a footballer - his tenacity, intelligence and vision on the football pitch. I agree with those who rank him as one our most important players, and I think overall he's probably been the stand-out performer over the last two seasons for us. But I won't stand by the other aspects of his game which, in my opinion, are extremely dubious. The amount of free-kicks he buys is often a little embarrassing to say the least, the constant whining to referees and the regular play acting all combine together sadly to produce the darker side of Richie Wellens. I'll happily have a dig at any other player who does the same things, so it shouldn't be any different for him. All said, I weigh much more heavily towards my first paragraph on him.
MC Prussian Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 I read another article on the Mirror website by Michael Calvin that shows he supports Watford. He states on his Twitter page that his teams are Watford and Millwall. CalvinBook Michael Calvin OK. Glass half full or half empty? My teams #watford #millwall both excellent but lost two goal leads. #drivesyoutodrink6 Aug. Millwall... He just loves surrendering to low standards.
Guest Bilo Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 He states on his Twitter page that his teams are Watford and Millwall. Millwall... He just loves surrendering to low standards. I stand corrected. Quite why he feels qualified to criticise our fans as arrogant knuckleheads when 50% of him supports a club famous only for its knucklehead, racist fans is a genuine mystery.

I find it a bit laughable that he reacts in a very defensive manner to the reactions of some Leicester fans on his Twitter page. Mind your condescending tone... Then I look back at his "report" and think of "double standards".

I can't say I expect much more from that paper though, no real difference between that and The Sun in my opinion.

Not healthy. And not very sympathetic, either.
ScoutMan Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 He even calls Pelts, David Peltier at 1 point in the article. Never liked the mirror anyway, communist paper only ever supported labour.
MC Prussian Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Life is a pitch, eh? C'mon Michael, admit that you wrote a very, very silly and totally un-objective piece of tosh.
