glen parva fox Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Why is it everyone bangs on about the poznan when all the clubs use the same music after they score a goal, T he chelsea dagger is it!!
Rusko187 Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Don't really care what he thinks about us doing the Poznan.. It's fun and looks really good when it's happening. As for his views on the match I just assume he's a die hard Cov fan and he's having sour grapes! Thought we were spot on for singing "your grounds too big for you" as it quite clearly is.
Dicko Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Why is it everyone bangs on about the poznan when all the clubs use the same music after they score a goal, T he chelsea dagger is it!! A lot of clubs use Chelsea Dagger as goal music and thankfully we stopped doing that a few years ago. I don't think we need goal music, but if we must have it then at least Kasabian is original and unique to our club. The Poznan is neither.
stockyfox Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 What a load of self-opinionated garbage and I reckon his comments re Darius Vassell and Ritchie Wellens are tantamount to being libel. They can't even get the score right unless it was written before Peltier's superb header - or did the ball accidentally hit his head and get deflected into the net!!!!! I wonder.... is Michael Calvin, writer of this trash, related to Andy Thorn, whose post-match comments also had me completely baffled as to what match he was talking about!
Guest safetosurfthisbeach Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 It seems the Mirror has a habit of knocking Leicester. I say we start a campaign to boycott The Mirror and The Daily Mirror in Leicestershire.
Criggers Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Who gives a **** what's original? What's copied and what's stolen/borrowed? If it's fun what's the problem? I've got an idea, why don't we all sit in absolute silence because no other club does that! The problem with the English is their inability to embrace something. Because its different it has to be shot down and laughed at. People will knock it before they try it. Man City got laughed at for copying it and we get called for copying it further. But I don't see the problem really. I wasn't too keen on it but when Man City did it at the walkers it looked awesome. The more we do it the better it is. I say **** everyone else and do what's fun. Do handstands if you like! Anything is better than Chelsea Dagger. Crikey I'm in a ranting mood this morning.
phillthefox Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 I think bamba should track this guy down and beat him with his party pole ......... the only true part of this article "Even before the sun tans fade, Coventry have the pallid look of losers".
@cheyette Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Do teams who do mexican waves get slated for being unoriginal? I'm just saying...
Jakemoore Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 I'm doing work experience at the Mirror in a few months, is this what I'm going to be subjected to, bitter articles made up of incorrect and unwanted opinions? Maybe I can publish a more honest piece when I'm there
MC Prussian Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 The shadiest bit is the fact that they're not even required to state their name. Cheap, unoriginal and coward. That's the Mirror in a nutshell.
glen parva fox Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Bet they will be hacking into our phones next!!

I must admit, it does make us look like a load of wannabees / followers not leaders and will get us laughed at - I suggest for originality all the blokes drop trousers and brandish our good old nether regions whilst doing Schmeichelesque star jumps!!!!! Hmm original but may not get us past the ' being laughed at bit' - especially in winter
Guest shearfox Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 They got the score wrong, pretty much sums up the rest of the article.
isaidno Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 I was gonna start a thread on this. Such a weird article.
Guest Bilo Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 The shadiest bit is the fact that they're not even required to state their name. Cheap, unoriginal and coward. That's the Mirror in a nutshell. It says much for journalistic standards at the Mirror that they're content to have such an awful article attached to their name but not that of the author. I'm pretty sure a quality paper would have laughed it out of the editor's office as soon as they realised the headline contained the most glaring factual inaccuracy possible for a match report. In fairness, most tabloids are guilty of shoddy journalism but the Mirror's insistence on painting itself as an upmarket tabloid that regularly sneers at its rivals for being 'low-rent' leaves it open to ridicule when it publishes tripe like this. When you compare this article to, for example, Fez's excellent blogs frequently published on the Guardian site you can really see a marked difference in objectivity, depth of research, originality of phrasing and summation. There's a reason why the Guardian, the Indy and the Telegraph are referred to as 'quality' dailies and the likes of the Mirror are not and this article is a perfect illustration of that.
RonnieTodger Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 I didn't think national "newspapers" could be so biased. That was woeful
accessory Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 The website editor is Dan Silver. He has a Twitter account as @DanSilverMirror. Please feel free to let him know exactly how you feel about him publishing this pile of poo.
somebum Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 I think this is an excellent article. The problem with all sets of die hard supporters is that they allow their fanaticism cloud their judgement. Anything remotely negative of their Great and Glorious Leader( ™ ) is derided and ridiculed.
FrankieADZ Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 well i reckon the person who wrote that must have a really grudge against City. minedless, useless writing imo.

dave the caveman Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 The article should be stuck up on notice boards in job centres across the country as an advertisement for the fact that no matter how titanically shit you are at your job, there is still an idiot who will be stupid enough to employ you.
