cc_star Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 I don't really know what this article is, looks like a half time, but has post-match comments and it says published at 10pm, but what I do know is that it looks to have been written by the biggest cvnt to ever write an article, perhaps he's a Cov fan? "Sven, the old rascal, got lucky yet again." http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/match-centre/Coventry-City-0-0-Leicester-City-Sunday-Mirror-match-report-Lee-Peltier-gets-lucky-Sven-Goran-Eriksson-a-winning-start-after-Darius-Vassell-and-Carl-Baker-sent-off-article782315.html
JimmyB Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Article is a load of toss, he's obviously a bell end, nothing more to say really.
lcfcsnow Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Agree with the poznan part but thats it. Stop it now.
Corky Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Obviously chewing the lemons when Peltier scored. So bitter for some reason.

The article, from the headline onwards, is littered with the most basic factual errors. Sadly we can expect to see a few more bitter rants fly towards us during the course of the season.
Saxondale Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 "He remains a hands-off coach, and restricted himself to occasional bouts of diffident applause from the edge of his technical area." The impression I get is that is one of the more hands-on managers we've had in recent years. Article's author = berk
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 its the fookin mirror what do we expect, retard journalists
Daggers Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Who cares...the scribe is clearly a cant.... But... Be original, chaps. ...shows he has perception.
Kent Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 What an absolute willy puller of a journo. I've got nothing more to say.
stix Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Read the headline & the 1st line of the article.....enough said. That guy gets paid for that....
ajthefox Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 What an odd report. Twisted, bitter and pretty strong words spattered with a few bits of sense. I agree on the poznan thing, but why does us chanting 'your ground is too big for you' have anything to do with us having the arrogance of the nouveau riche? Cov's support is shit and their ground is too big for them and I'm pretty sure we've not just started singing those songs at them since we've hit the money..
NeilyBoy Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Whichever Johnny no-name wrote that is an absolute cvnt sack. No respect for Sven or the team, nor even any accurate insight into our financial 'frivolity'. We've spent a large sum, but anyone with basic GCSE maths can see the figures are skewed by a few big signings compared to a majority of frees/low fees. Which is why it pains me to say he has a point with the poznan comments...
He's not bald Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 I'm looking at the man in the mirror, I'm asking him to change his ways!
Yojoe36 Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 "Darius Vassell remains a roadrunner, with a brain the size and consistency of a pickled walnut" <_< Yeah. You have clearly never seen him play "Wellens was, with ominous Âpredictability, the game’s pivotal Âfigure" Did you watch the same game I did? Fernandes was beast, and he bearly get's mentioned "and even did the Posnan as a goal celebration. Be original, chaps" I agree with him here. But I enjoy doing it, and I DON'T SEE ANY OTHER TEAMS DOING SOMETHING ORIGINAL!!! "Eriksson looks to have purchased a team to get out of the Division, rather than one designed to thrive on Âpromotion" WHAT!!!!! "Andy King, one of the most under-rated midfield players outside the Premier League" Oh dear And to top it all off. The article title says we drew 0-0 :appl: Joe approves of a:
John Matrix Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 he was here last season..article is written like he just became our manager lazy journalism
Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Check the tweets of @calvinbook from during the game yesterday...
The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Its probably the same bloke who wrote the match report after the madrid game. The bloke seems to make it sound that we've copied Man City by doing the Poznan for the first time ever yesterday. (as if he's trying to make out we consider ourselves the Man City of the Championship and so we shall copy them in all they do) Doesn't this 'journalist' realise we've done the poznan many a time since we played Man City in the cup
Mickey O'Neil Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Talk about unoriginal, lazy journalism. Be original chap.
Dicko Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 The Mirror is a shocking excuse for a newspaper, so i'm not too concerned with what they write about us. I do think that we are going to have to show some thick skin this season though with stuff like this. Spending the money that we have has painted a target on our chest, and with Sven in charge as well then most pundits, journalists and other fans will want to see us fail. Let's face it, if we had no money and another club in this league was spending £10mil on players, then we'd want to see them get beat as well. Hopefully Sven can turn this into a 'siege mentality' within the club and make us stronger. That said, the journo's comments about the Poznan are spot on! Man City fans already get laughed at for copying it, so we will be a laughing stock if we copy it from them. Let's try and keep our own identity gents. If that's my only complaint though, then it was definitely a good day!
Guest ttfn Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 It angers me that some absolute prat is getting paid for that when there are so many interesting and informative bloggers out there who could do a billion times better.
MikeyT Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Oh my God, it's seriously such a dreadful article i actually feel embarrassed for him. Where did he go to journalism school? I felt like sinking into my chair and cringing on his behalf as i read that.
