Controversial theory

Could not agree more with the original poster.

It is no coincedence that this season so far and last season, we have had those idiots booing every five minutes and we have been really poor. I would hate to be on the field at this moment in time with those idiots screaming at you at every little mistake. Highlighting mistakes only knocks a players confidence even further. This game is all about bloody confidence and your not helping!

So sit down and shut up you sub human goons.

Well as a Leicester fan being slated today maybe the 4000+ heading up to Nottingham don't feel like it anymore? Calling us tw*ts only knocks our confidence and we feel like saying 'fvck you then you tossers' and maybe we'll sit at home instead?

Oh wait, we don't use pathetic reasoning to excuse being a quitter.

And neither will the players I'm sure. They're professionals, they've been crap because of themselves only, they know that. They'll get over a few boos at the final whistle.

This would only apply if you act like a tw*t and i'm pretty sure those fans wouldn't be missed by the team.

Would staying at home teach all the fans who are calling you tw*ts to stop doing it ? No.

If you were slated by the players fair enough but you're not, you're being slated by your fellow supporters.

Please do sit at home, it'll give more tickets to those of us that won't boo the team.

How can you say that boos don't affect players? I take it you've played professional football and know what the pressure is like? Can you image doing your job with 25,000 people watching you and booing you when you're simply doing your best?

Don't be ridiculous, we are trying to single out those who go to a game and purposely boo and jeer at every opportunity, they are not their to support Leicester or even bothered if we win/lose they are just their to be twats.

On the flip side, away support is normally much better hence our away performances normally being better than our home. Come on you foxes! :scarf:

Booing individuals might affect the individual, using booing the team at the final whistle as an excuse is pathetic.

As I said, I DON'T AGREE WITH BOOING INDIVIDUALS OR DURING A MATCH.

But at the final whistle, if they are embarrassing us, a few boos should make it register that it's not acceptable. You say they know that they've played shit - obviously not if you listened to sven's interview.

And no, I'm not going to stay home, I'm going to go because I want to and because I've paid my money. So you can either accept that or try and ruin any sense of unity our fans might have by calling the majority of them twats.

No, the original poster was generalising Leicester fans as shit and moronic.

He did not say it was a minority.

And now you see my problem.

Think you may have mis-read his point. The point he was making is that collectively as a bunch of fan's we are poor. You only have to look at this board to see where that assumption comes from, other teams view us this way now as well. It is more than a minority at this moment in time, which is what is so depressing about it.

It was not a dig at those who go every week, support the team every week and get behind the lads every minute of every match, but out of the average 23,000 gate we get i bet that less than half of those are the genuine fans that stand, sing and give it their all, for this team. It is that, that is worrying about this club at this moment in time.

I hate not getting to every game, and I would give anything to get back to the days where I was there every week singing from the start to the finish, no matter what the score was! How many fans do that nowadays? It all goes quite when we go 1-0 down nowadays, I remember one game at filbert street, forget the opposition, we were still bouncing and singing while losing 6-0! Because city is our team and The foxes mean everything to us!

All this arguing and playing the blame game, is pathetic, but for some reason it is what happens in football now, does not matter what team you look at, there is so much pressure on everyone, because every time something goes wrong, it has got to be someone's fault, someone has to be to blame.
