Uncle Monty Posted 20 September 2011 Posted 20 September 2011 Why? Long silences, I hate long silences.
Socks Posted 20 September 2011 Posted 20 September 2011 i reckon sven should play him tomorrow night in the same role and see how he does again he certainly looked more comfortable and dangerous in the position on sat
Les-TA-Jon Posted 20 September 2011 Posted 20 September 2011 This was a far more effective use of yuki - he clearly suits the side of a diamond midfield rather than the back of it. He's too weak physically for that position - plus that position bears a lot of the responsibility of distributing balls received from the back to the rest of team - and for these reasons Wellens is much more effective there too.
Izzet is God Posted 20 September 2011 Posted 20 September 2011 I thought he had a cracking game on Sat and really deserved his goal...took is fantasticly as well. For me, I think he is a great asset for our midfield, he may not look like a 1st choice but he doesn't really have any major faults...He's got excellent technique and I for one would rather see him as a box to box midfielder more then the defensive role he's had to play in the past. The flights to and from Japan constantly can't help though so it's no surprise if some games he looks a little off the pace. I think he'll only get better the more he's played and adapts to the English way so who knows, come end of the season he may be our 1st choice midfielder week in-week out.
bluesbrothers Posted 20 September 2011 Author Posted 20 September 2011 Certainly, Abe's ability to cover Peltier as well as get forward was impressive. If a similar understanding can be built between Fernandes and Konchesky, i don't see why the two can't be our regular wide men. After all, with the front pairing of Beckford and Vassell working well even in the absense of a goal from either, I'd be amazed if Sven tinkered too much and dropped the 4-4-2. Then again, our swedish friend isn't one to stick with a first XI, hence why Abe ended up back in the team in the first place. The team running out this weekend will be interesting to predict, for sure.
unreachable Posted 20 September 2011 Posted 20 September 2011 You would have been hard pressed to find anyone in the ground who would have chosen Abe in the starting XI but to his credit and the team's performance he had a good match. In most matches he looks too lightweight for the Championship. He and Vassell must have been on something.
drc Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 If you have foxesplayer then look at the Abe interview. You feel sorry for the lad as he struggle to express himself in english - but he's cute
nuttytimmy Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Just seen his first 'solo' interview on Foxes Player. Stringer speaks r-e-a-l-l-y s-l-o-w-l-y to him. And he gets it (just). Top bloke, Yuki.
